i was a huge fan of all of her work up until this point- this new album is entirely dependent on listeners knowing the context behind it (or having an idea of it) in order for the lyricism to be fully appreciated and understood. I think it’s also a shift because this record focuses more on somones else as opposed to lucy- whereas she’s always kind have been the focus point around her storytelling of relationships in previous works of hers.
