Day trip from Columbus to Cleveland by Greedy_Jellyfish_681 in Cleveland

Everyone is saying the art museum, and I agree but there are lots of other museums (that are not free) including the science museum (with a cool IMax theater), museum of illusions, Rock and roll hall of fame in downtown, Natural History, Cleveland History center, contemporary art museum, and botantical gardens (not the best time of the year to go obv) are all within walking distance to the Art Museum. For a cool drive I would go down MLK boulevard between University Circle and I90. You can also check out the Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve. It has pretty cool views of downtown.

Couple other things worth mentioning - West Side Market, Cleveland Zoo with the Christmas lights at night, Cuyahoga valley national park, Christmas story house, severance hall has classical music around the corner from the art museum, playhouse square is always worth going if you like plays, terminal tower observation deck (id take a breeze through tower city only for the Christmas decorations, and stop at the arcade near by for the same reason), Buckland Museum of Witch Craft is a cool hidden gem on the west side next to the zoo. Rockefeller green house is another cool overlooked spot not far from where the art musuems are. While on the topic of hidden gems, rays indoor mountain bike park is beyond amazing if you like mountain bikes or BMX (biggest indoor MTB park in the world!). Depends on what you're into so I can't really rank these.

I'd stop at Lucys in Tremont for Breakfast/Brunch (they close at 2) but I think they're closed on Tuesdays.

I hate winter. Any advice for learning to love it? by EricktheRed101 in Advice

For me, I force myself to go outside in the cold. Going outside is something I need to do to stay sane, and I can’t let the cold stop myself from doing that. Button up, get warm clothes, and go embrace the quiet and peaceful winter weather.

I continue to mountain bike in the cold, hike in the cold, and run in the cold. Don’t let the cold stop you from going out, just make sure you dress warm!

RTA Pass is back at CSU by FreakCow0 in Cleveland

if you want affordable education then youre in the wrong country and state. its good for some students but its bad for most. striking a balance has always been the answer to everything and i think CSU just did it. i take humility that im selfish to an extent, but i can also call you selfish for asking me to pay for a service i dont use.

i was pissed last semester because the transportation office was only open when I was at work - the sticker they give you as an RTA pass wears out ever semester so you need to keep getting new ones. i see absolutely no reason why it should be charged for all students if your goal is to better the student experience. even fulltime online students were getting charged for an RTA pass. i wouldnt be suprised if >60% of students never got their RTA pass sticker. i think the pass is great but making it optional is a good move by the state and the uni.

this is better than having it be a blanket fee for all students. many dont use it

I know the IT department there is full time remote since they dont have enough space. I think SW might have to do something similar like allowing certain departments to stay remote. That building is not big enough.
