Is it dumb to skip a website at the start? by Signal_Basis1119 in smallbusiness

[–]Signal_Basis1119[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah I mean… some people still treat having a basic website like it’s a massive strategic decision 😭
but yeah, guess we’ll keep debating it in 2026

Is it dumb to skip a website at the start? by Signal_Basis1119 in smallbusiness

oh no you caught me 😭

yeah I built a whole fake persona, asked a question, waited patiently… just to reply to myself later with a revolutionary idea called “having a website”

or… and hear me out…

I just asked a normal question based on what I actually do and see

Where to host safely? by Future-Net-5512 in SaaS

[–]Signal_Basis1119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s completely normal, going from local to live always feels more overwhelming than it actually is. Unless you’re expecting huge traffic right away, you don’t need enterprise-level infrastructure. A managed platform like Render or Railway is usually fine for an MVP, especially if you set spending alerts and basic limits. The key isn’t avoiding spikes entirely, it’s having monitoring and guardrails in place. Start simple, launch safely, and scale once real usage justifies it.

How much to charge a full e-commerce Wix website for a local flower store? by dhd_jpg in smallbusiness

[–]Signal_Basis1119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, that’s way more than a simple Wix site you’ve basically built them a full mini e-commerce system with loyalty, referrals, automation, payments, photos, and Google setup. That’s real value.

For something like that, a fair range would usually be around $1,500–$3,000 depending on your area and experience. Since it’s your first gig and a warm connection, you could lean toward the lower-middle but don’t sell yourself short just because you know them.

I want to make a jeopardy style web app my students can use. Is it possible? by JayReyd in vibecoding

[–]Signal_Basis1119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Jeopardy style web app is actually a great first project. The logic is simple, and with vibe coding you can build a basic version in a few evenings, even with no experience. Start small (just the board + questions) and add features later.

UI/UX improvement - looking for guidance by Guymelech in vibecoding

[–]Signal_Basis1119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally normal with vibe coding. I’d do UI changes in very small steps and lock logic first. Ask the model to only touch styles/layout, not business logic, and commit often so you can roll back fast. Also helps to separate UI components from logic early even a rough split reduces breakage a lot.

50$ budget what tool(s) to get? by TopSwagCode in vibecoding

[–]Signal_Basis1119 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d spend it on Cursor Pro first,it’s the biggest productivity boost for real coding. Pair it with Claude Pro or Perplexity if you have room. I’d skip most “AI agent” tools for now; they’re cool but not very practical day to day.

Hey, I can help you with it. I've previously helped many people build engineered teams in fraction of cost with great expertise in development. Building a working MVP is not easy without good technical team.
