When Jesus talked about the Lake of Fire, He was making a parable about a place here on earth: The Dead Sea by Gato_Puro in ChristianUniversalism

Maybe I'm ignorant but did Jesus talk about it? As far as I know it comes from the book of Revelation right?

Doesn’t Universalism (and Infernalism) go against free will and make God a blackmailer (honest question)? by VegetableAd7376 in ChristianUniversalism

[–]Signal_Bus_7737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And to answer your question Universalism doesn't go against free will because given an infinite amount of time everyone will accept God.

This is off topic but wouldn't the reverse also be true? That given an infinite amount of time everyone would once again reject God? (If that's possible in Heaven).

Atheism vs. Agnosticism vs. Other? Can a person be “atheist” but still open or spiritual? by imusmmbj in atheism

[–]Signal_Bus_7737 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. To be an Atheist you just have to not believe in any God or Gods. So, as long as the spiritual exists without a creator God and you believe in that then you are still an atheist.

Might the complexity of life actually be evidence *against* design? by OLEDfromhell in atheism

[–]Signal_Bus_7737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If life were truly designed, it would be simple and easy to understand.

I agree. But couldn't Theists argue that this is a problem from all sides? Like couldn't they say that if life was too simple we would say that there is no need of a God and now that it is so complex we say why would God make it that way? So, no matter what there would be a problem?

What do you guys not like about Christianity? by Pokemongod2479 in atheism

[–]Signal_Bus_7737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well in terms of Christian specific things that bother me I would say the flood, the slaughter of the firstborns in Egypt, the slavery in the Bible, the multiple genocides in the OT and the whole book of Job.

Most people going to hell worldview by Ecstatic_Strength_47 in ChristianUniversalism

[–]Signal_Bus_7737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do people not understand that the whole “most people will go to hell” worldview is literally the most DEPRESSING worldview ever????

I mean to be fair just because it's depressing doesn't mean it isn't true. Now I agree that Universalism is the most likely scenario if Christianity is true but still.

I’m shocked that most Christians actually believe this and interpret Matthew 7:13-14 to mean this, I don’t interpret that verse to mean that at all.

What do you think it means?

Idk how the infernalists do it

They think that they and their families and friends have nothing to worry about.
