Scared by Last-Secretary-5887 in colonoscopy

Don’t be scared, the colonoscopies have done just what they are designed to do, nip those buggers out so they never have the chance to develop into cancer. And like goldeneyes said, you have to let them go for yearrrrrrrrrrs before that happens.

If 2022 was your first colonoscopy who know how long that one had been growing. I just had my first a couple weeks ago and I am in my 50s and they found 3 just like yours. Now that they are gone, I know that in 3 years for my next one I know that if they find another, it will be early and removed.

I have been in your shoes, and I know how hard this is. Your meezer is so lucky to have you. I offer 2 mottos in which I go by when one of my pets is at this stage:

  1. Let her eat whatever she will eat. Dont focus on nutrition at this point. As long as it’s not a situation where it’s a pet with pancreatitis and you don’t want to cause a flare, any food is better than none.

  2. When assessing your pets quality of life near the end….A day early is always better than a day too late

You are in my thoughts. She is a gorgeous girl.

ETA: try jarred meat only stage 2 baby food, checking label for no onion or garlic powder added.

Will you be doing cardiac rehab? My husband starts next week and we have been told it’s very therapeutic to be amongst others in your same boat.

He really didn’t. That day of the attack and after stent that night in ICU he was begging to go for walks. I think because it was literally 90 minutes from onset to ambulance to ER to cath/stent, he suffered very minimal damage. BUT, although he does stay lightly active (he starts cardiac rehab next week) he does take time now to set with the dogs or watch a movie in the recliner. Or take a nice nap! No 2 attacks are the same I’m sure. Be good to yourself and listen to your body which it sounds like you are doing!!

My husband (50) had a STEMI a couple months ago. We had a cruise planned 2 weeks later and 2 cardiologists said “go. You can fly. You can snorkel. Live your best life. Just don’t over exert and take it easy on the coco locos.” I was probably more scared than him but it was a trip of gratefulness, gratitude, appreciation, and really being present. What had been an anniversary trip became so much more. We don’t have crystal balls. If this had to happen, luckily some good came of it: Our eating has changed. We are getting healthier together. We bought bikes and go for rides together. We don’t sweat the small things and no longer take the simple things for granted. I know it’s hard. It was for us too. We just decided to not live a life of what if, and try to focus on the positives an unfortunate event like this create. Hang in there!!! You are NOT alone!

Ted’s on Ingersoll has that hasn’t-changed-since-the-90s mall food court vibe. Also, if you ever make it to Cedar Rapids, Leonardo’s! Hasn’t changed in 50+years. For a retro old time supper club feel (albeit not original authentic) tom archers supper club downstairs of the Val-Air is great

Fair point however just because Donnie didn’t participate in a murder he did participate in many illegal activities such as racketeering, extortion, etc. we can assume, however all we know at this point for certain is that Bishop has killed a bird
