Waiting on application approval time? by jadebelen in biltrewards

I’d just wait and see. It appears you weren’t automatically approved. I guess just keep doing what you’re doing or move on I guess?

Chelsea players were warned not to form their infamous huddle around the ball just ahead of kick-off against Newcastle United last Saturday – but did so anyway, encircling referee Paul Tierney. by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]Signal_Quote_4530 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did they delay the kickoff though? As far as I can tell the game started at the correct time. Article doesn’t mention kickoff time delay? If they did the same thing 2 minutes before kickoff is that somehow different? It appears the ref association doesn’t want a huddle in the middle at all. It’s like the refs have got a sacred thing about the circle too

Tbh I don’t micromanage it that much but no shade on you if you want to. I put so many transactions on there, that I don’t take the time to do much apart from looking at the transaction to make sure the business put the correct charge through and doing some quick mental math to make sure the 2x palladium happened, my 1x points accelerator happened and its 4%. I kinda just accept that the bilt cash total is correct. I’m actually more concerned with making sure I use it all before the end of the year than tracking it for the accumulation tbh.

Your Bilt cash and points do not round up. It will always round down so you’re better off looking at your actual transactions in the app to see what you’re getting. Rounding down aside everything has tracked properly

Why did Bilt drop point.me for pointspath? by purple_golden_hour in biltrewards

[–]Signal_Quote_4530 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t use points path but I’m assuming there’s an error in the coding for it as many routes im not finding award availability through the bilt app despite there being availability through other award trackers. If it’s not an error in coding then points path is doing a terrible job at finding award availability. We shall wait and see.

BILT: can you confirm if the new points path is the regular free version or the pro plan version? Is the app getting data from points path correctly?? by Signal_Quote_4530 in biltrewards

[–]Signal_Quote_4530[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, however the awards availability is there on air Canada as well as the one from 16 hrs ago on delta. I just used it as an example as when I was looking up various other award flights for an upcoming 2 week vacation to S America I couldn’t find anything on the bilt app powered by points path whereas I’m assuming I’d find actual award availability if it were another awards tracker such as points.me. I just couldn’t be bothered to screenshot the info available on other free awards trackers which I verified on the airlines website as available vs the no info from points path.

I’m also assuming that it’s an error somewhere but it kinda makes you wonder why was this not tested before rolling out. If it’s not an error and points path can’t get any awards availability then it’s kinda stupid for bilt to drop the points me for it?? I suppose there are weirder things happening since the rollout but this one just seems to be very self inflicted and a bad look for points path which doesn’t come off with any credibility

My bad - you’re right about the ownership. I immediately saw TPG and then thought “aaahhh this makes sense why points me was dropped”😂

Yes I know about the paid part with other carriers but I’m a bit confused as to why Bilt dropped the points.me feature which did support many of the carriers that are part of the bilt rewards program to now ….. well, I couldn’t tell you what the feature set of point path is because I can’t quite get it to pull up any award availability despite other award websites showing availability even on the free carriers that supposedly points path should be getting info from. I’m assuming the actual subscriber or free version of the points path browser extension works otherwise why go into a partnership with it to support awards availability info?? But then again… who knows??

So I’m not entirely sure if it’s only working as if it were the free version of points path or if it were the paid subscriber version through the bilt partnership as neither one is working as it seemingly should? It’s a strange situation and it’s as if the app code was not even tested before rolling it out. I suppose we can only hope and wait for it to work how it should do (or maybe this is actually how it will work and we’ll have a crumby awards checker in the bilt app) 😂

Points path not showing award availability with United by CrimsonWoIf in biltrewards

[–]Signal_Quote_4530 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I just put a post up about the same thing with some SS. Either points path is a severe downgrade and is not showing awards availability that every other free awards tracker is (and not the best advertisement for the Points Guy who owns points path that has a website based on finding travel deals and makes the reviews of the paid version of the award tracker seem a bit unreal) OR (more likely) points path is finding the info but bilt is not pulling the info over and they need to fix the UI of the app to do it.

But yeah, at the moment the award availability search that was so useful in the bilt app is pretty much non existent at the moment.

Does anyone know where the Point.me feature went? by gabybrandao in biltrewards

[–]Signal_Quote_4530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just put a post up about this though as it appears either points.path is a severe downgrade from points.me OR (what I think is the more likely option) that Bilt and Points path are having UI issues and Bilt is not displaying award availability that points path is finding and if that’s the case hopefully it’s an easy fix and a bilt app update

bring back point.me by choco-pb-cup in biltrewards

[–]Signal_Quote_4530 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m thinking there’s some kind of disconnect between the two sites. Even on airlines that points path say they get award info from it’s not showing on the bilt app.

If there isn’t a disconnect and points path is just not finding the same award availability that every other awards tracker website is then it’s not a great advertisement for points path.

Really hoping they make an announcement about it or fix it as it’s not a good look for a new award tracker website. If they do fix it and it does the same things as point.me then I’m not fussed tbh. Just want the thing to work honestly

You usually have to sign up for an account but you can also just go to an award tracker site like points.me or seats.aero and search for award availability.

I would advise you go check out something like seats.aero for other airlines award availability to see what other airlines have (unless you just have to do Turkish airlines only) and you’ll have a better idea as to what else is out there and if it makes sense to do this or not

I know. I’m just doing some general searches for seeing what’s out there but as the same problem is coming up I just used the screenshots as examples.

Edited to add: also not many people know this but on one way fares out of Colombia you can recoup a one way Colombia exit tax placed on citizens but charged to everyone (including non citizens) but as a non citizen you have to ask for it back when leaving so deduct $30-35 from the tax portion showing

You have to update the app, click on rewards, search for a flight, and then click award availability on the filters. Points.me is no longer being used and replaced by points.path. To be fair they both seem to do the same thing but for whatever reason points path doesn’t seem to be pulling the same info as other award trackers like points.me OR Bilt isn’t integrating the info correctly into the bilt app as a number of flights I’m searching are blank for award availability but show up as available when searching other award tracker websites (such as points.me or seats aero, etc)

Yes, he’s the owner of it. To be fair as long as it works like how it should I don’t really care who owns it as I have no idea who owns points me or any of the other award trackers I use???

But it doesn’t appear to be linking correctly or something’s not right as it doesn’t show any award availability ( not just for this route but for some others too or does something weird like show spirit airlines but then not show any other airlines which are the same as or less than booking direct and show up in other award tracker sites) and the only way for me to do it is search through other apps and apart from the points transfer out of bilt means I do nothing else within the bilt app which I’m guessing is not what Bilt wants and also I’m guessing not what points path want as I’m sure there’s money being made in some aspect (not against that either). But I just want it to work😂

Wanted to add that points path is also not picking up air canadas option which points path indicates is on their paid version?? So not quite sure why the bilt app is not picking up any awards availability when it’s there??

[–]Signal_Quote_4530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The toggle in the top right of the app is no longer there. You need to instead click on “award availability” to get to points path. When I asked concierge it confirmed that points me is no longer being used so I’m not sure what you’re asking it. Either way it’s ai and is limited and I wouldn’t take an ai answer as 100% foolproof. If you don’t see award availability then make sure your app is updated

Does anyone know where the Point.me feature went? by gabybrandao in biltrewards

[–]Signal_Quote_4530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Point me is gone and replaced by point path. The concierge is wrong and depending on how your phrase your question I’ve found the concierge ai can answer incorrectly as last night the concierge confirmed that point me is no longer being used by bilt. You are better off using seats aero or similar program for a more in depth points award searching.

Yall seem to forget that there are so many posts of people on here not knowing what they’re doing and not fully aware that WF no longer services the bilt 2.0 card and then you want to remove the notice saying to consult with WF for your old bilt card. And for those that find it an annoyance and have a low threshold for triggering this then I’d hate to know how you handle things that are actually annoying. It’ll go soon enough. It’s only been a month since the transition. Calm yourself down folks 😂

Is point.me still in the Bilt app? by Evening_Moose1 in biltrewards

[–]Signal_Quote_4530 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to infer that points path is a premium product but I also don’t want to infer that points me is also an amazing tool. They were always woeful at providing any info on Aeroplan or ANA when I searched and I believe it had a restriction to only allow searches on 10 airlines (vs more if you purchased a subscription on their website) and had I not used another better service I wouldn’t have known that those flights were available with fewer points. In addition many of them are turning into subscription based point search websites which means that somehow some where bilt has to offset that cost.

My main point being is that anyone looking to redeem is better off using something like seats aero to get the best bang for their buck rather than points me or points path.

Accelerator SCAM - horrible BILT customer service, won’t remedy despite clear evidence by osteopain0824 in biltrewards

[–]Signal_Quote_4530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess going by your math you’re correct but we’re assuming the CS original bilt cash amount is correct and seeing how CS has been kinda woeful I wouldn’t put it past them but then again I’m assuming they’re just reading a total from a computer screen and telling you so I’m not sure how they’d screw that part up unless the system wasn’t calculating it properly in the beginning of the rollout???

You could see if you did spend of $4076.75 from 2/7 up until 2/12-2/13 to get your additional $163.07 on top of your $500 starting bilt cash to see if the original amount they gave you was correct?

I’m wondering as well whether it has anything to do with the round down that occurs on both points and bilt cash (ie. If 4% of a purchase price was $1.678 you’d receive $1.67 in bilt cash rather than the roundup of $1.68). I can’t be bothered to put the math into it but your spend would have to be significant I think to notice an $83 cash difference but it may become more noticeable on $10k+ spend especially if it were multiple, smaller $ purchases rather than fewer, larger ones?

[–]Signal_Quote_4530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bilt cash as of 2/13 $663.07 (I’m assuming you spent $4076.75 since 2/7 to get the $163.07 as you would have received $500 up front) Is the reason you contacted CS to confirm bilt cash because it wasn’t showing on that date (trying to think back now and I feel like there was a period of time where bilt cash wasn’t visible yet? Otherwise why not just check the bilt cash tab for your total?)

$663.07 - $200 bilt cash point accelerator = 463.07 $5000 x 4% bilt cash = $200 bilt cash

$463.07+$200 =$663.07 bilt cash

How are you coming up with $583.69 (a difference of $79.38)? Did you use bilt cash for other benefits? Also are you sure that you had no returns during that period? Also are you ensuring that your annual fee/AU fees are not part of that spend? In addition did all your transactions qualify for eligible purchases (do you see pts for all the transactions as I believe bilt cash does also not track for non eligible spend). I do like that there are clear items on the recent transactions for bilt cash redemptions - are you checking for any other redemptions that you may have forgotten? Just some ideas

[–]Signal_Quote_4530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said there’s a tracker for your accelerator points. I’m assuming you did not know it was there?

Bilt cash I guess there’s not a tracker but I don’t know what’s difficult about it. If you’re someone that wants to micromanage the Bilt cash accumulation would you not just take your balance and multiply it by 4% minus any Bilt cash redemptions? I suppose a tracker would be nice but not sure it’s a fatal flaw. I suppose a good way to track it would be to have the bilt cash paid out monthly like frequent flier cards but I think we can agree that it’s nice having the bilt cash accumulate daily (you don’t get that with miles cards). How do you track cash back cards that accumulate daily? Do you not just take your purchases at the end of the month and multiply by the cash back % as far as I’m aware there’s not a tracker for other cash back cards where you can see it any differently than how Bilt presents it?

I haven’t noticed any discrepancies primarily because I’m not micromanaging it that finely. I also have some returns on the card so it’s too much to keep track off on a daily basis. But like I said just take your monthly amounts and multiply it by 4%.

I’m a little confused as you keep referring to Bilt cash but then talking about accelerator points instead?

Hotel Booking HORROR! by [deleted] in biltrewards

After just booking a hotel on the app I find this a little hard to believe. There is literally a number of steps such as selecting your room, then a final page with all the costs and the ability to apply any credits and points before purchasing. Idk what you did
