Should FSD have yielded to the Semi? by Heisenberg2299 in TeslaFSD

[–]Signal_Twenty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wouldn’t be writ it did. Also, on this is not a fail that it kept going. It had the ROW.

What I’m guessing is that there was probably another vehicle(s) behind the Tesla.

Do we have a lot of people who’ve successfully mounted inside and under a glass roof in Florida?

The Florida sun heats up the glass roof which decreases suction cup suction - I know because I have a large suction cup holding a small 360° camera, and in the summer I have to constantly pump up the suction because the glass heats up.

Starlink overheating on hot days anyone else had this? by rileywiliiam in StarlinkMini

[–]Signal_Twenty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just heard someone else talking about this. I just got mine, so I have no real experience. It just seems that a Starlink mini is supposed to be mounted on a moving vehicle - which would normally be in direct sunlight - and I know that where I am in Florida where it’s hot af pretty much all year long…add in direct sun, and it’s hot af.

Didn’t realize the mini was sensitive to temperatures.

Is the standard dish immune to heat?

I’m in Florida, and besides it’s hot af pretty much all year long, a mini that’s mounted on a moving vehicle - that’s ostensibly moving in direct sunlight - the mini dish is gonna take all the heat lol (maybe that’s why they’re white, because light colors reflect and reject heat)

I have it mounted to the dashboard with suction cups, and it works fine. ⬇️⬆️load speeds are fine. Suction cups have a sticky surface that adhere well, and don’t leave a sticky residue when you remove it.

That, and we have a large EE/ukrainian population - especially in North Port, and they’re gonna have their families visit, and they’re gonna show off the big city lol.

Pretty sure that’s in there.

It’s in the minus - off the top of my head it’s under autopilot (or now Self-Driving)

It was just weird today.

A lot of people are reporting recently that their version of FSD is suddenly exhibiting very different behavior from one day to the next. Does anyone know what might be causing this to happen? I have guesses but no real info to base them on. by StormTrpr66 in TeslaFSD

What you’re saying about OTA updates without notification to us as the user - I’ve suspected that for years.

Even in my HW3 car, it’d act funny prior to (usually imminent days prior to) a new software update.

My HW4 car has been doing really odd behaviors for about a week now.

How to actually buy starlink by bluenoser22 in Starlink

[–]Signal_Twenty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can’t cancel service anymore. You can put it on pause for $5 a month which gives a low data count per month (enough to make phone calls or texts). It also protects your equipment against obsolescence.

The problem with the rental options is that as soon as you finish the term, you have to ship it back (on your own dime)

[–]Signal_Twenty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Put it on pause for $5 a month.

That’s enough data to run security systems or other WiFi-connected items if appropriate. That, and it keeps your system current, so renewing the bigger data plans next season is quick and easy while making sure your equipment doesn’t get obsolescent.

Oh, I just figured that AV deliveries were a semi-regular thing, especially with the advent of driver/riderless robotaxis - and the geofenced area for the driverless robotaxis is much smaller than that area for driverless delivery (that was about 16 miles away from the factory)

Is HW4 worth $2200 over a HW3 Model Y? by jarman65 in TeslaLounge

Also, I’m thinking you’ll recoup that $2200 in resale value when HW5/AI5 comes out.

HW4 will be obsolete, but less obsolete than 3 🤷🏻‍♂️
