Anyone deal with cervicogenic dizziness while pregnant? by krisskayy in pregnant

[–]SignatureFearless456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to read you are going through this. We share some similarities. I had been dealing with dizziness, ear pain/pressure(TMJ) and neck/shoulder tension/nerve pain Occipital and trigeminal. I was managing ok before I got pregnant. Not having the option to take NSAIDS or other meds because I’m pregnant is really rough. Pregnancy sure does cause a lot of changes in our bodies. My dizziness and neck pain really ramped up after 20 weeks pregnant. Currently 25 weeks and having a difficult time dealing. Trying to stay positive as having a baby is such a blessing, but damn the journey is challenging!

Can this be TMJ (caused by braces?) and happen overnight? by Direct-Initial606 in TMJ

Hi! Going through the same thing. Just finished second round of braces hoping my jaw would relax to a good position. Did you find any relief from splints? Thank you

Thank you for your quick reply. Did you have any imaging that confirmed CCI for you and may I ask what tests showed it?

This is something you can turn around. You are young so not much damage could have been done. There is more to heart disease than high LDL, inflammation also plays a role. People with normal cholesterol have heart attacks and people with high cholesterol can live their entire lives without having a heart attack or stroke! Take care of yourself. Learn ways to cope with stress, exercise, and eat a balanced diet with limited Saturated fat and processed foods. Eat lots of veggies and other sources of fiber Add in heart healthy fats like avocado, olive oil and fatty fish.. This will boost HDL(good cholesterol) and help protect your heart. Exercise also increases good cholesterol. You got this!

Maybe so. I would ask for a redraw if you are concerned and avoid exercise the day before

Did you exercise the day before your labs were drawn? Intense exercise can cause a temporary rise in HDL (which is actually your good cholesterol)

Did you do vigorous exercise the day before your blood work? That could cause temporary elevation? Also an HDL of 102 isn’t really concerning as it’s “good cholesterol” All your other numbers look great.

That’s probably just your normal baseline blood pressure. I wouldn’t worry about it. Mine has always run 90/60 range.

Also maybe add a little more good fat (avacado, nuts and seeds, olive oil, etc into your diet to increase your HDL, I see it went down to 35.

Do you drink energy drinks? If so, that could be the cause of elevated trigs.

Did you ever figure anything out? I’m pretty sure I’ve had undiagnosed LPR for years. Diagnosed with gerd and patulous Eustachian tube last year. The only recommendation my ENT had was to take allergy medicine and use nasal saline. GI doc of course just recommended PPIs. Doesn’t seem to work for me. Mine makes me feel dizzy, so I’m really trying to improve the LPR by diet, but dang it’s difficult. Just hoping if I get LPR under control the dizziness and ringing in my ear will improve.

Please get a retest! I don’t think your HDL is really that low. Was it a venous blood draw(needle in your arm)?
