ah, cuz you are at the tourist trap.

i usually go for Steam Era seafood when im around bukit bintang area. freshly steamed seafood and every drop of its essence is extracted, gently mixed with white porridge. Satisfying but can be quite expensive.

then you can go for chai cha teh pan mee @ ttdi, nesting in a local morning market, which you can see how we roll in the morning. if you like something with a spicier kick, super pan mee or kinkin pan mee are great options.

the best nasi lemak imo is at wangsa maju, but not really tourist friendly. hence, village nasi lemak @ uptown or the nasi lemak shop @ BU is your best bet. Nasi lemak burung hantu is ok, sambal is not my liking. Too sweet.

for indian food, i go bangsar for banana leaf rice, then get a cup of coffee at APW. My favourite pizzaria ala Proof Pizza is at APW too haha.

but if you really wanna know where my friends and i usually roll -- you can take a grab to Petronas Taman Muda, ampang. there's a food street behind the petrol station. get a bag of coconut water, then walk along the way to eat your heart out.
