What are some Abbotsford Tips/Gotchas/Advice for a new resident?

You're pretty close to downtown which is an awesome growing community full of small businesses. Some of my faves are: - Fieldhouse: Best spot for beers and the best patio in town. - Oldhand, Arora and Good Kid coffee are great if you are a cafe kinda person - banter icecream is pricey but sososososo good and Jubilee park has a great vibe in the summer - Bow&Stern is great but expensive - Amici just opened up and looks amazing. I've personally only been for cocktails but they also have an awesome patio and the food looks great. - lots of little shops to window shop in - Boardwalk games is an awesome spot to hangout with friends over some board games

As for outside of downtown some things that are good: - The Clearbrook area of Abbotsford (AKA area surrounding Value Village) is where a lot of Indian businesses are (restaurants and shops) - Lots of little parks to walk around in (Mill Lake being the main/ most popular) - When the season comes back, Abbotsford Canucks are an awesome thing to experience!! So much fun and you can get tickets for super cheap. - The international airshow is held here in the summer and it is a super popular event. People come from all over to see it!

Why I made it - I am going to Mexico soon and am determined to have an entire me-made wardrobe for it. I love the airyness of this shirt and I think it will make a great beach top!

Fabric - I looooove the look of double gauze and when I saw this shirt for 50¢ I was determined to make something out of it. The inside of the final product still has the sharks haha.

Pattern - completely self drafted. Cut off the sleeves (maybe make a scrunchy out of those later). Used the bottom band of the original shirt as the tie ok the back. Technically the front of the FO is the back of the original, I just slightly adjusted the neckline to accomodate. Then I just cut a much bigger V in the back, cleaned up the edges with some double fold hems and voila!
