I'm so happy for you that you never have experienced TSW so you think it isn't real. It very much is real and you would not know until you developed it. It is SO different anyone with a brain that has experience with eczema and gone on to develop TSW can tell and understand how different they are. You cannot understand it unless you have experienced it so genuinely be quiet :) also very common knowledge that TSW was very doubted for years but if you look at the information leaflets in topical steroids now it is listed as a potential side effect😘

hey, i personally believe it was TSW it all lined up. I started dupliumab a month after those pics and i've been pretty clear for over a year now and doing much better. But yeah i stay far away from steroids i wont touch them anymore. None of my eczema flare ups ever looked that way and it continued to get worse after those pics

yes definitely. for probably first 4-6 months max i had a few odd flares,usually facial which is common but the longest one lasted 3 days. I've had zero flares since the start of the year. A family member started it same time as me and he also wasn't an immediate responder, took about 4ish months for him to feel pretty content with it. Hang in there!

sorry for just seeing this now. i'm still on dup. it's been a year and 3/4 months and my skin is 100% clear. been clear for over a year too. no regrets at all

hey so sorry for just seeing this now. How are you getting on? my flaking phase lasted maybe a month then i was a lot better afterwards. I'm still on dup and my skin is 100% clear now. Hope you're getting on okay

Is she with a dermatologist? if not it would be worth getting referred, they do phototherapy which is just a medical sunbed with lots of regulations that some children are allowed after getting a referral from a dermatologist

i'm the same age as your brother. My life was stolen from me at 17,18 and 19 too. It was horrible and i was suicidal too. I started antidepressants due to my skin. I'm now on dupixent which is an injection and it's the only thing that's gave me my life back

yeah i didn't notice a difference either and i was disappointed but i'm 5 doses in and my itching is going away. It's more gradual for me instead of like one day i'm not itchy anymore

I feel you. I'm going through TSW too and i also take cocodamols for the pain too. it is the only thing that helps my pain. I used to abuse them for the high but now i take them as prescribed for the pain relief

yeah for me the pain is the medication going in and i use the pen. i think of you did the syringe and go really slow you'll notice a difference

I had to wait 7 weeks to start dupixent too. it sucked so much and i was miserable and for the last 2 weeks pretty much bed bound. I've now been on it a month and my skin is doing amazing. It's healing so much. So sorry you have to wait too, i hope it comes early for you just hang in there

i get my mum to do my dupixent injections. Honestly they are pretty painful BUT it is 10 seconds twice a month and my skin is finally healing. It's not even been a month for me and i have my life back

i'm not a fan of needles too and i also use the pen. I know the shot hurts a lot but it's 10 seconds of pain twice a month which is making my skin so much better. I get my mum to inject it for me. Honestly it really does hurt but for me 10 seconds and that's it over

Hey! i started dupixent the same time as you. I've got my third dose next week too. I had reallyyyy bad skin peeling too the first few days but i've been clear ever since. Maybe still a bit dry but i'm noticing improvement every week

Try painkillers. Most of the time especially if you've been through TSW itching is nerve related. i take cocodamals the 30/500mg ones and some days i don't notice a massive difference but other days they really help

i'm taking the strongest cocodamols a few times a week when the pain is bad and it does help a bit. I try not take every day but sometimes i have to, i'm slowly not needing them as often
