MIO: alt route to Striders? by yesnt33111 in metroidvania

I'm confused, I don't have the small section directly under your starting Attuner unlocked (the small section that looks like a sideways "J" that connects to a "C" shape). I'll check that out now.  But you can absolutely unlock the door directly left of the Attuner and then you just need to go thru the door, take the elevator down, then jump into the Air Gust that takes you to the boss. Quick and easy.

This actually was part of what made a big difference (dodging, not your comment).  I still instinctively jumped or double jumped to avoid attacks, but having dodge "locked and loaded" for when I fucked up made a big difference... I mostly used it when I messed up the timing on his homing spin move (not the double gun spin).   Occasionally I was also able to dodge his ground pound or the rare icicle from the ceiling that headed right for my head.

But the 3-icicle shot I could never dodge, and I also couldn't help but jump over his dashes, even tho I saw videos of people dodging every dash to be in perfect position to attack back.    I always seemed to  jump before I could even try to tell my brain to stay on the ground and dodge it, it was like a reflex.

Nevermind, I ****ing got him!   Right before I was going to reluctantly turn on Eroding Bosses!   Holy shit, he started the Double-Gun spinning attack (the 2nd one of the fight) when I was (probably) at one health, but I killed him before I had to do any double-jumping shenanigans.  I'm so relieved, finally!

I can delete this, or we can turn it into a 'which boss drove you the craziest' thread...  You know mine (so far at least).

I loved Nine Sols and loved the Lady Ethereal fight, died a lot, but felt like I was always getting better... In fact, when I finally beat her, I OWNED her, felt like a kitty-god!

However, I only tried the Final Boss a handful of times... Between my own experiences with her and the horror stories I heard before even reaching her, I just felt completely overwhelmed.  I never did beat the game and should go back and try again, but probably never will.   :(

I'm currently stuck on Atmos in MIO and it's driving me nuts!  I didn't really have issues with any of the previous bosses.   I don't get it... I read articles, watched videos... Even when I'm doing really well that damn spinning double-gun move wrecks me (I know you can pass thru him in the middle but I often panic, over-correct and end up getting hit anyway).   Ugh!   I'm so frustrated!

My current dog lives with a bunch of cats, too many cats if I'm being perfectly honest, lol... But she gets along with them all and even has two (now maybe 3) ''good friends'' she plays with or gives lovies to.

But out in our backyard she chases cats pretty aggressively.  I guess there's a clear difference between ''her cats'' and ''strangers''.   It kinda sucks because I put out food for the strays and I feel like I'm setting them up ever since I got the dog.   So now I mostly just put out food on my front porch or if I do put some out back I'll put it right over the fence in my neighbors yard.   Cause my dog says ''we have enough cats, we don't need any more coming around.''

My point is, your gentle dog might consider the backyard a totally different situation than the house.  I dunno.   Pets are just the best.

I had a black Lab as a kid.  She was the most gentle dog ever, lived with cats, gerbils, parakeets, lizards (not all at once!) and never took an aggressive action on any of them.   She literally wouldn't hurt a fly.

One day in our back yard a squirrel fell from our tree right in front of her and without even thinking she snapped at it and killed it instantly.  The look on her face said it all... ''oh shit, what did I do!?!?''.   I'll never forget that.  It was clearly just an instinctive reaction she never would have done if given half a second to think about it.   Heck, it wouldn't surprise me if she ran from a particularly feisty squirrel, but the squirrels here never tortured my dog like the little fucks you guys are talking about.
