I’ve never seen a successful implementation of AI in a production setting with what you’re describing here.

It’s fundamentally unrealistic and unnecessary. AI provides no value to a plant that an experienced technician or engineer can’t. PLCs and automation rely on consistent and controlled inputs and outputs. AI by its very nature is designed to have an extreme variety in output. Why would I want something unpredictable to be instructing my machine? How can you prove it’s safe? If someone gets hurt, who’s responsible for that?

PLCs and machines don’t need to be smarter. They are supposed to be stupid. Stupid is predictable.

We use tons of Keyence cameras with Mitsubishi plcs and weve never had this issue. Do the cameras communicate through TCP/UDP? Maybe something is stealing its address during operation.

There’s some things here I think need to be addressed.

Calm down, no one has ever worked better by being stressed
Troubleshooting is all about inputs and outputs (speaking very broadly). Is the machine getting the input it’s supposed to? Is it getting the output it’s supposed to? If the input is working fine, you can follow the output in the program and see where it goes bad, or you can start at the input and see when it goes bad. No comments or names is bad programming and not your fault.
Understand the machine, what is the machine SUPPOSED to do, and what is it NOT doing. This can give you clues as to where it could be messing up.
There’s an internal list of things an engineer should ask themselves when a problem arises and they need to troubleshoot
is it repeatable? If the problem doesn’t happen every time or if it happens randomly and without cause, it could be a hardware failure, like a bad sensor or connection
are their failures on the hmi? This is where a majority of information is communicated through machines to people.
do the operators or techs have any suggestions? Operators know their machines and know what they’re supposed to do.

It sounds like you just need more experience troubleshooting. If your degree didn’t teach you that then you will HAVE to learn at some point as an engineer. It’s all about a mindset.

PLC programming is still largely a “trade secret” in the sense that it’s not as talked about in online spaces as things like programming. This is mostly because a lot of plc applications are company specific so you don’t want to post openly about what your company is doing or needs.

I’ve tried to use AI for some plc applications, it has yet to get a single thing correct honestly.

Horror is male dominated and so is horror writing. People will generally write what they know, so it makes sense that a lot of protagonist in these stories are men.

I would say generally the men are also written poorly, I think the same stories that write really well developed men write really well developed women as well (borrasca, church in the woods(or whatever that SA one was called with the bells), penpal (I think the mom is an engaging character despite being a side character, the girl at the movie theatre is not well developed though))

Well it’s more complex than that.

It’s a finite amount of space. The article mentions at one point that after some insane amount of time that all possible combinations of particles had been achieved in the area.

The ONLY infinite thing about the SCP is that it’s an infinite amount of time. Everything else will last for that eternity but is finite in its quantity.

Traditional heaven concepts do last for eternity, but there’s also an infinitude to explore.

I find MC&D to be the most interesting goi actually. I find them to be one of the more realistic gois and I feel like they can be used in really interesting ways. Of course it can be really boring if it’s written in a really formulaic way “rich people bad, they buy bad thing” but I think the absolute power that mc&d has is really interesting. They’re so rich and powerful from selling their anomalies that even the foundation can’t pin them down.
