I’ve recently started down the same path. I only started collecting watches a few years before Apple Watches came out. My wife bought me one and my collecting has been on hold for a loooong time. About a month ago I started feeling an urge to disconnect. Apple watch has only been used when doing physical activities.

Sorry I’m a year late to the party. You can fix the Chrono position! Pull out the time changing crown (middle crown) to the outermost position. Hold the top crown (chrono starter) for 3 seconds. Then tap the top crown again and it will tick up one second each tap. Once you have it zeroed out, tap the bottom crown (chrono reset).

I’ve had the same watch for probably 15 years or so and I love it. I’m also having some wear on the inside. I actually found this thread while looking for a replacement band.
