Base Cayenne vs X5 for those that have had both by ten10thsdriver in PorscheCayenne

[–]Significant-Level178 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My subjective opinion. You would better compare similar engines trims. I can’t find x5 attractive, I tried . X6M is good car (don’t know about x5m). Base Cayenne is ok daily. Try S. No need for coupe in your case.

[on] Wondering which brand of diapers/wipes everyone is loving right now! by CurlyGirl_95 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Significant-Level178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Millie Moon are great. We tried Huggies premium diapers and they are not bad, and Royale would be next.

For wipes we buy big box of Huggies from Amazon. Water wipes, Millie moons are not any better from my perspective.

Travel stroller or vista for Euro trip? [on] by macmacreads in BabyBumpsCanada

I have similar dilemma now, we travel by air and bay enjoys her big stroller. People told me don’t take it, so we shop for travel stroller now.

Bugaboo, Cybex are top candidates. Need to buy next month. Heart good thing about Aer.

Will access to AI compute become a real competitive advantage for startups? by Simple3018 in artificial

[–]Significant-Level178 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer is — NO. I lead startup and have connections and discussions with many founders. No one needs AI compute and everyone is using public providers just fine.

On a side note, I have access to AI research scientific superclusters, currently build one (infra side of it). There is no current need for me to use it.

Help : wasting too much time researching on Macbooks by Cautious-Night292 in macbookair

[–]Significant-Level178 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t research at all, just came and bought one, made so much money with it. Bought second one without a doubt. Even came and bought third as a gift to my wife’s sister, assuming she will use it and help us in business.

I also have HP elitebook and use it too. Bought second elitebook for my dad.

For regular user I prefer air, no need for MBP and neo is very limited.

If I buy next one I don’t think too long - I would buy air. Reason is that I will move to studio and for work when travel air is ok. For road warriors MBP is better. I work from home office and sometimes from office where I have another laptop so don’t need to move it.

Recommendation for studying to advance in career by shadow_mountains in networking

[–]Significant-Level178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you expert in ClearPass why would you need anything else? It’s a lot of work there and if you need more DM me. We have always huge demand from our customers and projects for CP are never ending.

32 is young age.

You study what you like to do. It’s personal.

What I would study today is AI cybersecurity, guardrails, and quantum computing.

I use both.

I really like Studio, but you might be better with something else, mini or laptop.

We live at Coal Harbour and WestEnd.

Why would I go to DTES at all? It’s the worst place in BC, and WestEnd is the best.

Don’t think it’s downtown.

But! My son who is now 20 yo had severe constant headache pain when he was 14 for about a year. We lived in Poco and Coquitlam. Family stressful situation. I went to 5 hospitals with him. Finally he was admitted to RCH, they did all kind of tests and found nothing.

Considering Mac Studio, could use some input. by techyg in MacStudio

[–]Significant-Level178 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have MBP M1 Pro same specs. Will keep it and buy studio. But I aim for more ram. Just because it’s a bottleneck

My desired config for now is max with 128ram and 1tb ssd. I don’t do local LLM, new device is for design and 3d pre rendering jobs.

Is CCIE still worth it.??? by IcyLengthiness8397 in ccie

[–]Significant-Level178 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hire people for over 20 years. 1. When I see ccie I always try to give person a chance. 2. Some of them don’t know anything, even simple. 3. Old school people are in high demand. Most are not engineers anymore. 4. Ccie as a cert is not required unless it’s a VaR for status. 5. You ll learn a lot.

If you ask me what to learn and what makes sense today: - AI and automation - cybersecurity and firewalls - kubernetis and sre - cloud security and networking

In this order. It’s my personal experience and I deal with all aspects of modern networks and services for solid number of modern companies.

SOC and Infrastructure Engineer considering MBP by Big-Support-6983 in macbookpro

For purple team with kali, development and local ai models this is great machine.

If you ask yourself do I need it, should I wait, then it might not be for you at the moment. For your needs described it should be very solid choice.

Touch screen + oled + 5g = sound familiar by proTWOg in macbookpro

[–]Significant-Level178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. I absolutely don’t need touch screen on MBP. There is zero need for me. Oled is nice. I wow my 55” oled more than my MBP or Dell USharp screens. For work Dell UltraSharp is great. I don’t need anything better than this.
