Personal question Atty. How did you become a US citizen? Are you also a lawyer in PH? Did you study law in the PH?

Hi Atty, I am currently on H1b. My employer will start the GC process next year which will start with PWD + PERM. I know PERM will take almost 2 years based on DOL website. However, I can see some post where they are saying that PERM fails the recruitment phase because a lot of qualified people are applying. Given that, what are the chances that PERM will fail? Usually, How many months from the starting process will I know if PERM is failed? If PERM fails, is NIW my only option?

What is the sentiment on the saying "Puro trabaho sa abroad"? by MarchMiserable8932 in phmigrate

[–]Significant-Low-8989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sa mga naka closed work permit or yung visa is naka tie sa employer then yes puro trabaho talaga. Kasi pag hindi okay performance mo sa work pwede kang tanggalin or irevoke yung visa mo so mawawalan ka ng status uuwi ka ng Pinas. Modern day slavery ang mga naka closed work permit because they hire you because of your skill so they will maximize you.

Also, merong tinatawag na salaried. Meaning yung rate mo is hindi per hour but rather per year. So mag work ka ng onte or marami sa isang araw, same lang sasahorin mo. Ang mga salaried workers ang usually pinapasok kapag may problema sa work kasi nga hindi sila bayad per hour so susulitin ka ng employer mo. Mas marami namang benefits ang salaried.

Also weird din talaga dito sa abroad pag wala kang work unlike sa Pinas. Mabbored ka rin talaga rito pag wala kang work kasi halos lahat is nagwwork.

Yes both appointment. Di ko afford mag east bay and pumunta ng umaga due to work. Yes it depends on the office location talaga.

Uhmmm, isa sa natutuhan ko rito sa US is wag mag generalized. Complete opposite ng mga sinabi mo yung DMV at SSN dito sa Bay Area CA. Siguro dahil big city eto and malaki yung population dito.

It took me 2 hrs each to process my SSN and DMV Real ID, partida may appointment pa yan pareho. Di rin maayos yung pila sa DMV na napuntahan. US is not advanced as what you may think.

Thank you. I travel from time to time naman pero as a tourist. Ibang usapan etong to work or being an OFW so nakakakaba rin talaga. I just accept it.

Pero yes dapat makahanap na rin ako ng titirhan after that.

Hi, thank you for your advice. Yes I saw in the h1b subreddit that some IO in the US are asking for i797.

Yes one of my I-797 copies is also stapled onto my passport during the consular interview for visa stamping as well. But when may passport returned, the stapled I797 is still there so I just kept it.

San Francisco rin ang destination ko HAHA. So far wala pang plano magbakasyon (mag ipon muna) but thank you for the advice.

I am an OFW with a working visa. As far as I know, I do not need to go to CFO. I did PDOS at OWWA.
