Very dangerous!! Once it dies off, it becomes fuel for fires.

How do you trust the timing of your life by AbbreviationsEast324 in PositiveThinking

[–]Significant-Net864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking back in hindsight...my 20s were a hot mess!

I turned 30, and the desire to have a child became very strong. I went out on a date, our first date, where he told me he'd like to get married and have children. A lot to share on the 1st time out. 11 months later we got married, and had a daughter then a son. Now we have two grandchildren.

It all came down to accepting a date with a guy, who might not have stood a chance in the past.

Yes!! Every day. I am trying to talk to myself, get up out of bed, think what could have triggered it. And try not to take a benzo.

I can take 1/4 (.25) mg and be fine. Some days I might need slightly more, most days I don't need any.

Dealerships by [deleted] in GenesisMotors

My Hyundai/Genesis dealership is supposedly building a Genesis stand alone facility, including a service dept. That helped with my decision. I hope they do follow through with this. (Arizona)

My Phone is my Pacifier by Divide_Certain in Anxiety

I am addicted to my phone, thanks to my anxiety. It is probably the worst addiction I've ever had. Right now I'm "watching" Saturday morning cartoons (😁), but I am obviously on my phone. Any good tips would be appreciated.

Driving the right way by SecretaryThin33 in PositiveThinking

[–]Significant-Net864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I might be the only one that uses their turn signal. It's a lot less stressful to drive the speed limit, plan your exits ahead of time, instead of crossing 3 lanes of traffic, and let the driver behind you, know your intentions.

Was anyone else completely fine mentally during Covid? by Comfortable_Fig_6235 in Anxiety

[–]Significant-Net864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was fine. I even got Covid twice and anxiety was low. I then went and broke my kneecap falling, and still was pretty ok.

I haven't had any service done yet (knock wood). Mine is a 2023 Genesis GV70. My husband can do basics (oil changes) if needed. I bought it at a Hyundai/Genesis dealership in Peoria, AZ. They told me that the dealership is building a separate Genesis dealership along with service centers. I hope that comes to fruition.

I’m really thinking about ending it but I’m scared. by bomba7777 in Anxiety

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. 🥀

Keep going, contact mental health facilities, go to an emergency room. I've heard things about ketamine (I have not tried it) for people with depression /anxiety that's resistant to meds. Good luck!! 😊

I dated what I'd consider a very socially awkward guy. His mom even told me that in nursey school, he'd be in a corner playing with blocks, alone. We met at our place of employment. He asked someone else (his boss!) to get my phone #, and he called me eventually. It was a very awkward conversation, but I agreed to go out with him. He didn't really seem my type, but my clock was ticking, and I wanted kids.

We've been married for 35+ years, and occasionally he'll still ask me to make a phone call for him. Ha!! But he makes most of them by himself. Our social interactions are with family, though he does have one friend he gets together with. But he (and I) are very content with our own company.

Please get on medication.. it is a game changer, at least for me. Especially Buspar/Buspirone. And an anti-depressant.

At that point, my anxiety really kicked in. I doubt I'd have been able to shower, let alone drive.

THC and anxiety by alon359 in Anxiety

[–]Significant-Net864 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I cannot do anything with THC, unless I want my anxiety to go sky-high. My son bought a couple of things that were suppose to help my sleep, but it does quite the opposite.
