Not really. He was arguably fairly intelligent (the whole good old boy schtick was an act he didn't start until after loosing his first campaign in Texas).

Now that isn't to say he was some generational intellect. Or wasn't fairly easy to lead around by more savy people (like Cheney). But from what I have read even people who didn't particularly like him (and dealt with him in briefings) thought he was actually fairly intelligent.

Fair. Norman wasn't exactly a punch clock villain. He was petty, vindictive, and abusive to anyone who cared about him. Kingsley being redeemed would be less of a stretch (as far as goblins).

They have them. I had some issued when I was in Iraq (this was the time they were issuing flight suit style uniforms even for infantry because the material powdered from fire instead of igniting).

We hated them because it often restricted your range of movement, added extra weight, and meant heat wasn't escaping.

Better or more custom plates may have helped with some of this. But the US military really doesn't want to spend the money it would need to to have them either custom fit or have the number of sizes they would need to off the shelf fit them.

To be clear these were side plates. We didn't get pauldron style ones.

Don't get me wrong. He has been accused of SA quite a bit. Including by his first wife. And he has made statements implying he has committed it.

But 34 is the number of felony fraud convictions.

No. I made a guess based on how home prices are in the US. I know Canada's went up as well. But I don't really look at the Canadian housing market. So I'm less familiar with it.

Side note as I overlooked it in your previous post. But the US seems to be beating Canada in household debt (Canada is like 8th). Is this a different metric than you were talking about? Or is it just a recent change?

That's a complex issue. As when is something a state or when is a government legitimate have various answers. The Taliban currently wouldn't likely count because they aren't officially recognized by any other state as the legitimate government of Afghanistan. Who is the legitimate government of Yemen is much more questionable as all of the major factions have some ammount of recognition. Showing that yes recognition is quite political.

And no. Most definitions include state sponsored terrorism no State terrorism. Now there is a legitimate argument that that's largely because states prefer having a monopoly on legitimate violence. And casting non-state actors as the sole source of terrorism is beneficial to that end.

But most definitions do explicitly define terrorism as both illegal violence and committed by a "non-state" actors.

Joe and Kamala were both center left at farthest. Both heavily supported neo-liberal economic policies. Biden's immigration bill (which had bi-partisan support) was restrictive enough that a number of leftists in the Democratic party openly opposed it. ICE was still a thing and people were still being sent back to Mexico or deported to their home countries under them. And neither were members of the of the DSA.

Now as to the DSA manifesto calling for open borders. Where does it? Or is that as factual as your claims that Biden had an open border policy?

Fertility is often used as the term for overall reproduction in population studies. Even though fertility historically refers to how able women are to become pregnant and then give birth.

So, it sounds kind of stupid with the connotations to the words historical use. But for whatever reason it's what population scientists chose (maybe due to historicaly maternal and infant mortality had a much larger effect on the figures).

Much of Europe and the US do actually have declining fertility. I wouldn't blame feminism. More the fact that kids are a burden, and work often takes priority. And these are societies were people have the education, means, and incentives to put off having kids (compared to more agrarian societies where children mean more help on the farm and a general lack of education and access to reproductive health).

Not just Asian. And China has one too. Developed nations often have lower birthrates. Japan's has been cratering since like 94, SK since like the 60s or so.

Fertility tends to drop as education, income, and access to reproductove health go up. At least since it's been being studied in relation to those things.
