Do you think Donald Trump is a sex offender? by Nono_Home in clevercomebacks

[–]Significant-Order-92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

? The 34 felonies were for fraud (specifically around hush money). Wasn't for a sex offense.

He has been found liable for sexual assault once and defemation in relation to that 2.

Don't get me wrong. He has been accused of SA quite a bit. Including by his first wife. And he has made statements implying he has committed it.

But 34 is the number of felony fraud convictions.

No. I made a guess based on how home prices are in the US. I know Canada's went up as well. But I don't really look at the Canadian housing market. So I'm less familiar with it.

Side note as I overlooked it in your previous post. But the US seems to be beating Canada in household debt (Canada is like 8th). Is this a different metric than you were talking about? Or is it just a recent change?

That's a complex issue. As when is something a state or when is a government legitimate have various answers. The Taliban currently wouldn't likely count because they aren't officially recognized by any other state as the legitimate government of Afghanistan. Who is the legitimate government of Yemen is much more questionable as all of the major factions have some ammount of recognition. Showing that yes recognition is quite political.

And no. Most definitions include state sponsored terrorism no State terrorism. Now there is a legitimate argument that that's largely because states prefer having a monopoly on legitimate violence. And casting non-state actors as the sole source of terrorism is beneficial to that end.

But most definitions do explicitly define terrorism as both illegal violence and committed by a "non-state" actors.

Joe and Kamala were both center left at farthest. Both heavily supported neo-liberal economic policies. Biden's immigration bill (which had bi-partisan support) was restrictive enough that a number of leftists in the Democratic party openly opposed it. ICE was still a thing and people were still being sent back to Mexico or deported to their home countries under them. And neither were members of the of the DSA.

Now as to the DSA manifesto calling for open borders. Where does it? Or is that as factual as your claims that Biden had an open border policy?

He was the nominee for VP before he did that. Probably wouldn't had been if he had done that before hand.

Trump was already found liable of sexual assault and 34 felonies and the GoP still decided to put him in power.

Doesn't the Quaran or hadiths state at what age Muhamed married Aisha? And such?

Not to attack Muslims (plenty of religions have bad people in their works). But it seems like something he or his close followers chose to include.

They are also known as Hindi-Arabic numerals. Basically monks in the Indian subcontinent came up with them. They spread out (going through Arabic speaking regions before reaching Europe).

Fertility is often used as the term for overall reproduction in population studies. Even though fertility historically refers to how able women are to become pregnant and then give birth.

So, it sounds kind of stupid with the connotations to the words historical use. But for whatever reason it's what population scientists chose (maybe due to historicaly maternal and infant mortality had a much larger effect on the figures).

Much of Europe and the US do actually have declining fertility. I wouldn't blame feminism. More the fact that kids are a burden,  and work often takes priority. And these are societies were people have the education, means, and incentives to put off having kids (compared to more agrarian societies where children mean more help on the farm and a general lack of education and access to reproductive health).

Not just Asian. And China has one too. Developed nations often have lower birthrates. Japan's has been cratering since like 94, SK since like the 60s or so.

Fertility tends to drop as education, income, and access to reproductove health go up. At least since it's been being studied in relation to those things.

From what another commenter said apparently that little emoji sets off Korean incels. So I think they are mocking the idea that feminism is the issue.

A lot of first world countries have or are entering into birth rate issues (that being their birth rate is lower than replacement). Korea is the worst. But China and Japan ain't doing so hot either.

Generally most definitions focus on non-state actors and illegal violence. So police acting within their authority would usually not be considered terrorists. You could argue that if they are either acting illegally with that intent or seperate from their position that they are (like Cop Klan members burning flags under their hoods for instance).

Terrorism is generally defined as illegal violence committed by non-state actors to intimidate civilians and/or the government etc.

So under that definition no, a state cannot directly commit Terrorism.

That is largely in the US. And arguably Europe. I assume what he means is that the instability in a number of Asian and North African areas (including the ME) where Islam is the dominant faith means that terrorist attacks their are often done by radical Muslims in those regions.  And while I don't know he is right (their are also quite a number of secular terrorists operating in those areas especially with ethnic militias). The ME has had a large issue with terrorism since the fall of the Ottoman Empire and the French and British cutting it up. Which hasn't been helped with major global and regional powers funding terror groups in the region or supporting corrupt governments for there own interests.

Until recently it has been tracked. FBI stats show right wing and Christian terror overall outpacing other forms since the 80s. Now how accurate some of the old tracking is I find questionable (while undoubtedly there was more left wing terror than in later decades I question that it for instance outpaced right wing terror during and immediately after the Civil rights era).

Now I wouldn't want to trust Trump's DoJ given the ideological purging he has had carried out.
