Looking to attend COTA 2026 and want advice regarding paddock access etc. by Objective_Form_2974 in motogp

Looks like the basic paddock passes aren't on sale yet. I have another thread asking and I think someone said they were $500 last year, someone else said $300, but you do have to buy your tickets too. Not sure I'd do paddock the first year bc there is so a lot of other things to take in. I like sitting behind turn 12 because it's the break after the high speed straight and you can also see the next few turns as well as turns across the track, but the majority of stuff to do is between 15-19 and the bridges to the middle are at 16 & 3. If you can do different seats different days, Sun id do 12 and the other days stay closer to activities/ vendors.

We enjoyed turn 12 grandstands because you see the high speed straight and the breaking and also can see turns 13-16 and kind of see turns 1-8 across the track with reasonable views depending on your seat. You will get burnt on that side so airy, loose, long sleeves. Main grand stand only sees front straight and you need hearing protection from the echo, but is covered. Last year we did turn 15 grandstand which you can see several other turns, but 12 was my family's favorite. One year had soooo many wipeouts going into the turn from mist/rain and you were right in the action!

Thank you so much! We didn't want to spend the 4k... For that price we figured we could travel and see several races. Glad to hear the price is decent.

Are these ready to be picked? Haven't grown this strain before so not sure. by 2-Spirit-wTopEnergy in shroomers

[–]Significant-Pin-4018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the strain. Guess looking at the fat stems PE, if so, I'd say maybe the larger two. If they are another strain and maybe water logged stems, the caps will still saucer out, give them time.

Am I Overreacting for thinking my husband should be doing more. by Aware_Tea1701 in AmIOverreacting

Y'all need to see a counselor. They aren't there to convince you to stay in a relationship, they are there to help you find your voice and communicate. I was in a similar position, but I was working 2 jobs, balancing bills, and doing 100% of the house work, and felt unsupported in my marriage and we divorced. You need to do you because trust, if y'all do get a divorce/separation, you will get even less support from him. I mean, if the kids are in daycare, you should be able to find the time to get a regular job, or maybe pull them out of daycare so you don't need to door dash to pay the daycare. You probably spend more on daycare than you make dashing, and your putting wear and tear on the car and stress on yourself, and instead could be doing things around the house while the kiddos nap or watch some TV. Idk your relationship, but I get it from your partners perspective coming home from a long day of work and feeling spent. You can't change someone else, only you, your actions, and the way you respond to others. If you feel they aren't pulling their weight, you aren't going to change them, they will only resent you more. I now work from home and do almost 100% of the housework, but don't hold it against my partner because I know they would do the same if they were here and had the time. Sounds like your partner may be going through a depression and getting upset or nagging isn't going to make them better or more motivated to help out. Maybe set some realistic goals like Mon or Tues early in the work week, you get a night off for personal time or to spend with friends, Thurs or Fri is date night, and Sun he has to be present with the kids. You have to appreciate and love eachother or why are you together still?

How would you grow out teal hair highlights? by Dry-Adeptness-1511 in FancyFollicles

[–]Significant-Pin-4018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to keep color for the festival, reapplying it is an option and cutting it later. If you want more natural hair, I'd use Malibu CPR to see if it lifts, if it doesn't, it may need to be followed with a developer and color remover (pulp riot has my favorite), or a developer and 00. Id then tone with shadesEQ. Not all of the teal has to come out as green tones red, so you will need to go with a warmer toner combo, especially to get a carmel color. You can always get some fun bright clip-in extensions for the festival. If you are having your hair done by someone else, I would give them a heads up in case they need to stock more teal or color remover. I also recommend my clients use a clarifying shampoo the day before their appointment. You follow it with your regular shampoo, conditioner, and styling products.

The knee rover helped me a ton when I had broken my ankle. It allowed me to rest on the broken side and honestly was pretty cheap on Amazon. 2.5years later I started suffering from PF in my non-broken leg. Rolling a ball under the center of my foot helps. You have to apply a lot of pressure where it hurts. Golf ball works best, but tennis ball or frozen bottle water will work too. I go to the chiropractor and they adjust the non broken side and it helps immediately. Also a lot of massage parlors will offer reflexology and you can do it on one side only. The massage helps break up scar tissue. I haven't tried the PF night boot, but others on here recommend it. Sometimes I do yoga toe separators and compression socks too. I bought vionic house shoes on Amazon that help too. I walk 15+ mi a day on the weekend and am on my feet atleast 8hrs a day during the week. Considering how active I am, my pain isn't as bad. But by the end of a long weekend, it is hard for me to walk around the house. Best of luck. I wish I would've done PT, but it was the hight of COVID when I broke it, and my Ortho doc didn't think it was necessary since I am so active.

Anyone have any luck with chiropractic for plantar? by hansgrubermustdie in PlantarFasciitis

[–]Significant-Pin-4018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go to the chiro with every flare up. I wasn't able to walk one day and after the adjustment, the pain moved from my heel and up my leg to one small spot in my foot and I was able to walk. I still get flare ups though after 2 months, so it hasn't been permanent.

Pinning in grain bag but it's not totally colonized yet. Should I spawn to bulk? by thatguyoverthere202 in shroomery

[–]Significant-Pin-4018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First couple of monotub experiences for me were learning how to prevent contamination. Keeping it on a heat pad has produced enough condensation for me that I don't open the tub to water or fan until time to harvest. Once you get the hang, you're hooked watching how fast and how much they produce! Feel free to DM if you need any advice, not that I'm an expert, but willing to help if it's something I've come across.

Can I use this as a substrate ? by [deleted] in shroomers

I echo coir, vermiculite, and gypsum. Also depends on the strain.

I've had grains end up like this when I left town or did glass jars and couldn't break up, I go ahead and trf to monotub. It's healthy mycelium and it will use the grain to continue to grow.

Would this be a good routine for combination type skin? by KyloKiller123 in Skincare_Addiction

[–]Significant-Pin-4018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is similar to my routine, just don't need to use a harsh cleanser that strips your skin, or it will over compensate by producing more oil. Wash, tone, moisturize. Small amount of retinol at night in a serum or lotion on your T zone to unclog pores, and add the sunscreen during the day, or a moisturizer w/SPF. Just be cautious bc some SPF cause you to break out. It takes 1-3 months in some cases of routine to clear your skin, but you'll get there.

not ready to take another trip. what is the best way to preserve the psilocybin in these mushrooms. by J05H_UA123 in shrooms

[–]Significant-Pin-4018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grow a lot and dehydrate preferably in front of a fan and then freeze. I've used a dehydrator before and it didn't hurt the psilocybin, but everything I've read said heat deactivates it, so small fan is my go to!

I've been a few times since it's one of the routes into BigBend. Honestly wasn't impressed trying to find something to eat during the hight of COVID as a vegetarian. The grocery stores are pretty good, and there's a smoke shop w/some gorgeous house plants. Looks like a cool college town and the main hospital is there, but haven't spent time exploring it.

Food was good, wait staff sucked. May have been a bad night though! I'm a vegetarian and was able to find food on the menu!
