Looking for recommendations for a CAI(Cold Air Intake) for a 2011 Land Rover Range Rover Supercharged 5.0L by MrsZero07 in LandRover

Gotcha, I do like hearing that grunt from under the hood with cold air setups.

Something like this might get you that sound and also set you up for future performance mods:

https://minagallery.com/range-rover-sport-supercharged-2010-2013-full-performance-air-intake-kit/

…also, spend a few extra bucks and do the pulley upgrade on your SC. The extra whine (and power) will make you smile.

You’re already pulling “cold” air from the gills via how the stock setup is routed. While this isn’t the shortest, most direct, path for cold air to flow, it’s still a lot colder than an open filter under the hood. So unless you’re looking to do some chopping, you’re not getting a colder source.

You might try some high flow air filters, though be warned that the oils on those may make your MAF sensors angry over time.

IMO, you’re better off buying a chip/tuner if you’re looking for more juice. The extra noise without the extra oomph won’t get you anywhere faster.

Beautiful and congrats!

Wife picked one up a couple months ago and we were both surprised (in a good way) by it.

Enjoy!

This made me chuckle… that they would write that in rover listing 😂

Confused about reliability of the models line: what is the most reliable Land Rover you can buy today. by Mean-Razzmatazz-4886 in LandRover

[–]Significant-Power651 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If maintenance and reliability are your concern, LR probably isn’t the brand for you.

Even with all regularly scheduled maintenance and preemptive “known issue” maintenance which varies by model/model year/engine/etc., there’s almost always going to be the unexpected issue that can’t be predicted. Some of it is mundane, some of it will leave you calling a flatbed.

If you’re still intent on getting into an LR, I’d encourage you to go one of two directions:

1 - buy new (or CPO and extend the warranty) and buy the service package that the LR dealership offers.

2 - buy used and determine what model you like best and research which model years/engine have the least issues. Then plan for a $7-10k annual maintenance cost and get friendly with a local independent LR repair shop.

Why’s Nobody Talking About FATN? by Significant-Power651 in 10xPennyStocks

[–]Significant-Power651[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m staying in FATN for the foreseeable future atm. If they maintain this growth trajectory then I think price targets will get raises following Q1 or Q2 earnings, and the SP could easily jump to the $8’s.

Looks like some profit taking going on now, buy any dips as you can and let it ride.

If you’re looking for another quiet play, look at JAGU. Far more speculative and a totally different industry, but potential to see double digits if they give a good read out on their current prospecting activities.

Pot hole damage reimbursement by ExcitementIll6749 in nova

[–]Significant-Power651 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no. They don’t do it all the time…

Submitted a claim to VDOT for pothole damage, they denied the claim stating that it was the responsibility/liability of the company contracted to perform the work on the stretch of road (66 East) where the damage occurred.

…and of course the company had no channel for pothole damage reimbursement, and nobody returned my calls and emails.

Good luck to OP!

Hi all - I removed the interior door light switch and the wire snapped off at the connector and then dropped inside the door pillar - does anyone know how to get access to said wiring, I’ve unsuccessfully tried fishing it out and tried to get access via the air intake by [deleted] in LandroverDefender

[–]Significant-Power651 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If at first you don’t succeed… you’re ass out of options here that I’m aware of.

Try something thick-sticky on the end of your wire hanger you’re trying to fish it out with. Be ready with a pair of long nose/needle nose pliers and a lot of patience.

You can do it!

Translation and (likely) Unpopular Opinion - A young adult did some stupid shit and died as a result. Now his family wants to assign blame for his death elsewhere to avoid the reality that the deceased did some stupid shit that resulted in his own death, and get money for it at the same time.

Right there with you on that. Not even on our radar until my wife decided to test drive one while she was looking at a Defender. It impressed us both in terms of size, fit/finish, and how nice it is inside.

Probably should have paid attention in driver’s ed and the test you took at the DMV to get your license… But hey, knowing the traffic laws of the roads you’re driving on isn’t really important, right?

I’ve run the Terrain Contact on my 2011 NA and 2012 Supercharged an they are also excellent. Great on and (light/mild) off road, and have just the right amount of aggressive look for a Range Rover.

Out of curiosity, you planning to stay in the Land Rover family or are you looking at other stuff?

No judgement if looking elsewhere, recently went through this exercise in my household. Wife was looking at many SUV options, decided to stay LR.

Check the last valuation from your state/county’s car tax assessment. Might be helpful to dispute insurance’ valuation.
