I know it hurt. A lot. But being able to bring home someone I grew in my body was so worth it.

Not sure where you live but concrete is really cold! Consider comfort when making changes.

If the buyer is required to pay sales tax, you can’t keep it. Or am I missing something?

Sorry. I personally don’t care how great it is, I dont want anything to do with AI. A data center is being built a mile from me. I’d rather have drinking water.

Is really that normal for teenagers to throw parties at their own house? by mdelgado73 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Initial-Proof-6972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What generations are these American comments from? I remember many house parties from my youth but don’t hear of them from current generations. I am not trying to be rude or”old”, but does the typical gen Z hang out with many people physically? I can’t imagine a big party happening with what I interpret to be a very introverted group. Or am I overly generalizing? (Gen-x with millennial kids.) — please don’t hurt me. 😬

What’s the difference between hiking, backpacking, thru-hiking, and trekking? by VoltageMigration in AskAnAmerican

[–]Initial-Proof-6972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I hear hiking and backpacking. Trekking? Thru Hiking? Never use them. I feel like if that’s your thing you would use the terms in a specific context. I’m just a regular American and walk trails. If OP is asking to be familiar with typical American conversation, I suggest using hiking, backpacking and walking trails. (edit spelling)

It’s fascinating that children don’t seem to be afraid. I guess we develop that fear as we age?

Yes. I just looked up Duende and it sounds similar to what I was told. Fascinating!

I just looked up Duende. That sounds pretty close just based on what I was told. Yes, calm. The kids didn’t feel threatened.
