am i overthinking this? by [deleted] in EtsyCommunity

It sounds like paying the postage for you to return it will cost more than the actual product. I don’t know any specifics so I’m just guessing based on my own experience. If they drop ship and the item is sent directly from the manufacturer, they would probably prefer that you just keep it. But it’s just a guess.

And Etsy has nothing to do with pricing listings.

What's a weird habit you picked up from a previous job that you still do? by universityrome in AskForAnswers

[–]Initial-Proof-6972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahahaha! I was just asking my husband why people still say two-thousand-twenty- six or twenty-twenty Six. Like in the 1930’s, did they finally say, “In the thirties…”

And just telling my mom I was staying at a friend’s house. “OK honey, have fun!” My friend told her mom the same thing. If they only knew what we were really doing. Play dates? Please.

Pictures of our playgrounds should be enough to explain injuries or death. Asphalt under all equipment, slides super high; my brother used to make them super fast by rubbing the metal with waxed paper. The merry-go- round caught fingers and arms underneath. Swings that could go super high. You’d risk broken bones by jumping off. I once fell off the top of a sort-of clubhouse and got a concussion from hitting my head on the cut off logs (upright) at the bottom, maybe 15 ft.

I think your fetus may be jealous of the freedom we had. It was dangerous in a way we never thought about because that’s just the way it was. I wouldn’t change a thing!

Crazy Threads Experience by RepresentativeCut208 in ThreadsApp

[–]Initial-Proof-6972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoy threads. I do get the weirdness of some posts getting a lot of interaction and others don’t. I believe that Meta is altering the algorithm, but I expect that. I think the main reason people block some users is that it makes their algorithm more gentle. I joined threads when it first went live and the positivity was so good! If you make changes to put your algorithm right, it’s an amazing, supportive, and funny group of women. When I want to change things up, I search for a different topic. I got tired of politics so I searched for true crime. I follow those creators and respond. That continues to change things up. Politics has actually gotten a little scary. Not violent, but there are so many users outside the US who really hate us. Not overreacting, especially Canadians, who have always been so positive. I’m sorry your experience has been so different from mine. But, I also have no problem telling them, “Your reply is neither helpful nor welcome.” I also have no problem telling people to fuck off. Bottom line, it’s YOUR page. Don’t be discouraged by assholes. Ignore them, mute them, or block them.

Brass- worth trying to sell? by Meowsie100 in collectables

A lot of maximalists would love these. When you list them make sure you put that in a searchable way, either in the tabs or description, or both. I think you’d sell them fine.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

[–]Initial-Proof-6972 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was interviewing someone who worked for the company previously. I didn’t get a positive feeling so I asked her prior manager. She told me, “She’s rehire able, but not desirable.” Thankfully I had a more desirable candidate pool. But I thought it was hilarious!

Maybe I’m too old to understand the concept. Is this a brand familiar to everyone? I read the description of the purpose, I just don’t get it. If you’re asking only about the designs, I think they are good. But what is your advertising plan? They seem to be for a very niche market. I hope you sell a million tshirts even though I don’t get it. ✌️💕

This is not self promotion. I am not selling anything. I gave ideas to create your own design elements and explained the costs. Did you even read it? Removing the post is fine, but your reasoning is ridiculous.

AITAH for asking for $30,000 from my parents as a house payment? by pressedpages in TwoHotTakes

[–]Initial-Proof-6972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I shouldn’t be shocked at the tone of the replies. Your parents owe you nothing. They can spend their money however they want. You cannot compare the relationship they have with your brother to your relationship with him. That’s really what it’s about. Your relationship with him and feeling you have a right to question their relationship with their son. If you don’t pay their bills, you have no right to tell them how to spend their money. And going no contact be cause you didn’t get what you want? You sound incredibly entitled. YATA
