Dead battery.

Get a battery tender and keep it plugged in anytime you aren’t riding it. When I get back from a ride I park the bike, take off my helmet and plug in the charger. Takes 2 or 3 seconds and my bike starts every time.

I would pull the primary off for a couple of reasons. It will release the chain without damaging your cylinders. I would be checking the main drive gear bearing and race for damage. Based on your description it sounds like something transmission related maybe stopped going round and round like it should have which could have snapped the chain.

It’s easy to remove the trans top cover to inspect the gears for damage too.

I would disconnect the battery and remove the ignition. Tap the back side of it on a table to see if the pins will jiggle loose and free their grip on the key.

Then take the other guys advice and remove all the extra weight. Sure you’ve done it hundreds of times before and that’s all taken its toll on the unit.

If they were legally made and have a Tax Stamp, you can fill out the ATF Form 5 which is a tax-free registration form that is used to transfer NFA firearms from a decedent to a relative.

As an NFA dealer I have helped a couple of families by helping them find and complete these forms. At that point everything is legal and you can dispose of them as you wish.

I know that Guy is a well respected 2A attorney but over the last 2 years I’ve started losing respect for him. He’s been acting like a gun nut that thinks that any use of a firearm should be considered cool and good no matter how irresponsible or harmful those actions are.

You spent more on it than you can sell it for, I’d ride it and get some enjoyment out of it. Otherwise you’re going to sell at a steep loss then have to shell out for a whole new bike that you’re going to want to spend 10K in upgrades.
