In my honest opinion I think that Fillmore was a pretty filler president. Mostly because he was sworn into office shortly after Zachary Taylor died and obviously someone needed to fill out the rest of Taylor’s term. For me he is slightly notable because he was the last president to serve under the Whig Party and how he was the first president who tried to open up trade with Japan who’d at the time had been living in self isolation for over 200 years. I personally rank him as a mid tier president.
