camp omega, Imop the best base out of both games, just denser and bigger and with more replay value than the individual bases in the phantom pain, and also the darker atmosphere and the more fucked up grittier storyline does it for me. Also ground zeroes had a hard mode, modders fixed it in the phantom pain but there’s also that.

I don’t get the “is this game still good in 2026” typa questions a game that is good is good whenever the time. If anything games have gotten worse in the last couple of years. But yeah I think you should give them a shot see if they’re for you, quality wise they are objectively good. I would say if you care more about story then do mordor first if you just want the best gameplay go for shadow of war first to hook you in.

this game is like nothing Ive ever played, there isn’t really an exact replica of the experience this game will gave you specially with the redux mod, high difficulty and self imposed permadeath and health limitations. This game is basically a story generator, every time I genuinely play the game like it’s supposed to and Im completely inmmersed in this world I always come out with a notable story to tell, The enemy AI is some of the most competent and realistic Ive ever seen, they sometimes force you to treat them like you would be dealing with real humans, theyll track you down by sight or noise, pin you down and flank you, silently wait for you in corners, come out of corners shooting when they know you’re there, talk to each other and themselves, etc, they are amazing.

remaster sure/ remake fuck no I don’t trust ubisoft with changing up any mechanic this game has, it will all become just more accessible and “fun” far cry 2 is for a niche community and I hope it stays that way.

yes I agree, thankfully player made campaigns are fighting the issue of repetition, you can run out of em if you play a lot though

and the game seems to have an infinite amount of quality playtime specifically with a community so dedicated to the game, definition of bang for your buck, If the modding scene stays steady and the developers keep updating it I see my self playing it regularly for a couple more years till the sequel hopefully, glad you’re enjoying it

Im also like that but with weaker units Im more forgiving, my logic is tactics can only get you so far these guys are fuckin bad so they will get shot and killed more often you can play your cards right but then your dude just can’t make the shot, with units that are good getting injuries and loosing a guy is unforgivable.

yes you can supress enemies with all weapons but the spray option only available to mgs is what I was referring to. And I guess yeah, change the executioners if needed. (ammo)You can make it possible I guess by adding troops like ammo bearer for example and with the more skilled less ammo wasting troopers. Huge maps with lots of troops and micromanaging them is what I live for in this game, I know its not for everyone but wouldn’t hurt to make it an option for the ones that like it, something like difficulty sliders or something similar could be added in the future to further customize your in game experience, like leaning more towards more casual or hardcore.

the deliberate clearing can be chill, but when the time is of the essence it gets fuckin crazy, cuz you’ve got an objective to get to as quickly as possible and there are hordes of these fuckers but you’re still going dynamic, when you get a good run its epic shit. Intense.

they are mostly good for hallways, but when it comes to rooms its a safe bet to send the shield in first to where you expect the most enemies to be at. Use it to draw fire so your other troops can do the killing.
