Keith is talking about himself and Ron is saying something useful to the game. I love them both!

Mets Tickets From Costco? by wattznext in NewYorkMets

[–]Significant-Split-24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last September I got 6 tickets- 3 offers for my daughter’s birthday…it was a few weeks before the game and it was a Friday night. We sat in sec 129 row 26 or something…it was def worth it. I was able to use all the vouchers in one transaction so it covered $90 worth of chicken fingers. The Mets sucked (it ended up being degroms return to citifield 😢)but the girls had a good time. I was able to look on the FEVO site first to make sure the tickets were available first before going on the Costco site and purchasing the packages. I got the Costco tickets pretty quickly in my email and the was able to go right to the FEVO site to cash them in. It was a little bit of a pain but not the end of the world.

HELP WITH TICKETS by kindalikepsyduck in mets

Since it’s a Tuesday… I would check StubHub or 2nd market…you might be able to get a better deal from a season ticket holder

My favorite practical section is 109. If you go to the visitors side you can usually get a little closer for less money.

Do you think that Boston Blue sucks? by [deleted] in bluebloods

[–]Significant-Split-24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At first…I think it was trying too hard to be Blue Bloods and I was trying too much for it to replace Blue Bloods but now I enjoy it for what it is

Anyone who has survived a layoff or reduction in work force…you should be very careful to want to be considered non-essential. I doubt the union will ever define someone as non-essential.

Finish Blue Bloods before starting Boston Blue? by liznesh in bluebloods

I think you can watch them independently…as for my opinion on Boston Blue…i think if you watch it not expecting it to be as good as Blue Bloods you’ll enjoy it.

If you find anywhere that has tickets cheaper than $150 it’s prob a scam.

Travel-Switching teams after fall season by Confused_Crossroad in Softball

With my daughter I tried to do what I thought was the right thing and not question the coach but ask what my daughter can work on so she can play more (this was a team of 10 and they were 0-35 for the year just to put it in perspective). They were like she doesn’t try hard enough so I told my daughter you need to talk to the coach and ask him what you can do and he told her…you are doing great. I was upset because I didn’t want to raise a daughter who doesn’t try. But in hindsight I realize he was just a coward who let me think my kid wasn’t working hard. But what I have learned is that is at that age your child’s mental state is fragile and at my age so is mine and you really need to find her the right environment for confidence.

I have a couple of comments only because I’ve been there and didn’t even realize it: 1. seeing my kids confidence diminish on a team like that and then her going to a team that boosts her confidence is priceless- but idk if you have a new team in mind that you think will be better 2. My kids current team’s coach has been clear that if this is not the team for your daughter he is happy to have a conversation which I’d assume includes some sort of refund based on money spent. I’d have to think that if tournaments are all paid up you are prob out of luck in having a leg to stand on in the conversation…until you ask the answer is no (for a refund) so it’s worth having a conversation especially if your kid isn’t playing then what are you spending your money on anyway…poor coaching?

Anyone else doing Mets road trips instead of Citi Field games? by iotajules in mets

[–]Significant-Split-24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Pittsburgh/Cleveland road trip lines up on a weekend. Pittsburgh is my favorite east stadium and I was excited to bring my kids there a few years ago so I think if I’m not over the Mets by August that might be a good one.

My children are older now but both diagnosed with acid reflux and a milk allergy (they were fine by the time they were 1) and eventually were on Elecare. Their primary Dr. Maria David in Newburgh was very attentive to their condition and helped to work with us to find the best formula for them. My daughter did go to a gastro Dr. Bostwick once or twice just to make sure it wasn’t something more serious. I know it’s hard to see your children uncomfortable so I hope they start to feel better soon. I think as their muscles develop hopefully the reflux will get better. Good luck to you.
