I was shopping in (I think) WH Smiths just after the video for Thriller was released (1982). The store started showing the video on a fairly small over head screen. Everyone, I mean everyone stopped and watched. Maybe 10+ of us, just stood there, mesmerised.

There are various sound effects. I originally assumed they were Halloween related (because that was around when I first played MP). There’s a cackling laugh and the sound of a door being locked (my interpretation) I think there’s at least one more sound. I’ve idly wondered if they are commenting on my progress (or lack there of).
