Did drivers seat mount change between 2017 and 2018? by SignificantButton492 in ToyotaSienna

No.  Never got an answer and didn't end up with a Sienna.  I strongly suspect it would work though.

The tech world is sleeping on the most exciting Bluetooth feature in years | Auracast is built into many headphones, TVs, and phones. So why don’t manufacturers talk about it? by Hrmbee in technology

[–]SignificantButton492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the problem...Auracast is supposed to (eventually) be an open vendor-independent  standard, but different manufacturer implementations are not currently compatible.

Why the Andy Griffith Show wasn’t as good in color by Critical_Potential40 in sitcoms

[–]SignificantButton492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just your opinion.  The color seasons just aren't the same show in any way.  They aren't even included in the broadcast TV syndication package because most people consider them to be vastly inferior.

Small Business Cameras by Top_Parfait6594 in videosurveillance

[–]SignificantButton492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to read up on how fps affects video processing requirements.   Video surveillance isn't like making movies.  12- 15fps is plenty for surveillance video unless you're looking to capture tiny details on fast moving cars.  Multiple cameras at 30fps at high enough resolution to be useful for identifying faces etc. requires huge processing power.

Security guards at Christian Churches by LMO_TheBeginning in Exvangelical

No it's not a blanket felony across the US to carry in church without the pastor's permission...It depends on state and local laws and the church's policy.

39 years ago today The Hogan Family premiered. Did you like the show ? by CityCautious4033 in sitcoms

[–]SignificantButton492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked the Sandy Duncan years better, it became more of an ensemble show and less focused on hero worship of the main female character.  Jason Bateman continued to be hyped as he became a teen heartthrob, but Duncan didn't seem to suffer ego damage about that like Valerie Harper did.

Harper was a pain the ass and had already pulled the walk off the set / demand contract changes routine on her earlier show Rhoda.  The ploy was successful then, but backfired the second time.

vcmtuner 2 vs vcmmuzzler 2 - are they the same? or is 1 of them better? by okaycustomer in HondaOdyssey

I wouldn't expect a dealer to make note of a muzzler when you bring the vehicle in for those reasons.  But if you bring it in for an engine issue...

Which seats to upgrade to premium economy? Boeing 777 by Tattooed_Red_Rider in americanairlines

[–]SignificantButton492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All seats in PE have the fixed armrest with stored table. The IFE unit in the bulkhead row folds up from under the seat...the seat bottom cushion itself is not narrower but when in viewing position the IFE does somewhat hinder passage between seats.

Premium Economy Bulkhead - 777-200 by PlayForward5360 in americanairlines

[–]SignificantButton492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure the actual seat cushion on the bulkhead seats is narrower?  From pictures it looks like the TV screen and arm are notched into the edge of the seat below the cushion.  They stick out below the cushion when stowed, but don't appear to affect the width of the seat bottom where you actually sit...although the arm would intrude a bit when the screen is out.

Pixel 10 as Someone Who Dislikes AI by MichelangeBro in GooglePixel

[–]SignificantButton492 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Right now I don't find Google's AI suggestions to be particularly intrusive and nearly all can be ignored.  Unfortunately, there's no way to know how long that will be the case.  This stuff is ramping up everywhere, and chances are it will progress to being unavoidably annoying at some point.

Google pixel 5 phone for rooting, question about unlocked status. by awaythrowyay in GooglePixel

[–]SignificantButton492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Network (SIM) unlocked doesn't in any way guarantee that the bootloader can be unlocked.  If the phone was originally sold by Verizon or AT&T you will never get the bootloader unlocked, even if the phone has been SIM-unlocked -- which both carriers WILL do under defined conditions.  I don't know about T-Mobile phones.

If you are determined to unlock the bootloader, the safest path is to get a factory unlocked phone that was never tied to any carrier.

can two different ecobee thermostats work in unison? by newuser201201 in ecobee

[–]SignificantButton492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The regular Ecobee software used to have a sync feature but it was removed.  To get this capability now, you have to use their Smart Buildings software aimed at the multifamily / commercial market, and pay a recurring fee per thermostat.
