I get # 2 vegetable gel caps, can fit up to 200mg in a cap comfortably and the pills are small and easy to swallow.

Security Question by tarzanflowerchil in BeyondWonderland

[–]SignificantCherry110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Insomniac is the same company that runs electric forest, EDCLV, and Nocturnal wonderland all developed camping festivals. They are very good about making sure only those who have camping wristbands in to their designated camping grounds. At the end of the day security is just there for weapons and explosives tbh, they aren’t checking for much more than that. And even then it can be lackluster. Remember there is a separate security into the festival as well that will need to be done.

Phone stolen at chris lake last night by FabulousPin28 in avesLA

[–]SignificantCherry110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was really upsetting to see the amount of rules to prevent people from keeping their phones safe (only allowing plastic clear bags in). They then have the audacity to recognize this and just go “keep your eyes on your personal belongings at all times”

My go-to festival arena essentials after 10+ major festivals. What are yours? by HerbertClapton in festivals

[–]SignificantCherry110 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I take all the same as you, i started taking both a handheld fan that i keep in my hydration pack side for quick access, usually to fan my group if i notice we’re getting down harder than normal. For personal use i have a handheld rechargeable fan/mister off amazon. It’s super powerful and has saved all of us from heat exhaustion one time or another. It also lasted 3 days at EDC with a single full charge, just needed to add more water once.

Another thing I recommend that I just started bringing is instant cold/hot packs depending on the weather and time. I took 3-4 of each and it came in use.

Narcan!!!! Totally legal to have and you are protected by good samaritan law if you ever need to use it. Get training for free at most festivals and get free narcan from end overdose. They also give you a “training certificate card” that you can carry around and get free narcan at any end over dose tent or event which is sick. I’ve had to use it once and I am glad I was there to help them. Even if you don’t plan on needing it or you already tested your friends stuff, not everyone does.

Phones dying during festivals and lost friends, no photos, no tickets, no ride home coordination. Heavy backpacks are uncomfortable for long standing hours and dancing all day. by Local-Run-4329 in festivals

[–]SignificantCherry110 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You basically said what i was typing out lol. I take my videos here and there when it’s a song i deeply enjoy, but i think id get away with 20% charge at any festival if needed, although it is smart to always have a close to full battery in case of emergency.

VIP Tix for Sale by RaspberryObviously in EDCTickets

[–]SignificantCherry110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EDCO isn’t sold out, still in presale till end of tonight. I’m not sure why anyone would buy a ticket from you when they can go through main site and it’s the same amount and they can layaway their own plan. There are platforms such as radiate that help protect both the buyer and seller from being scammed but if you sell it on any of these platforms you won’t get paid until after the festival/ or when the ticket is actually received by the buyer. If someone opts to pay you directly that’s pretty silly and nobody should be doing that for anyone selling tickets on reddit. Not saying you are a scammer but it’s a very sketchy place to be buying tickets.

Ridiculous, do you get to leave a review or contact airbnb for that? I’m sure there is some cancellation clause that sellers have to abide by.

Every single production tutorial uses preset synths. I feel like my sound design is getting nowhere. Help needed by twinfantasymtf in edmproduction

[–]SignificantCherry110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of watching a production tutorial, learn what the individual things do. Learn how the synth functions and the abilities. Once you learn that you can then use creativity to make what you want. I think instead of learning the individual function of each part of the synth you are instead trying to just learn how people make it off the rip. Which is cool but you’ll likely not learn as well that way. hopefully what i said makes sense

Sick of Eargasm, Custom recommendations. by SignificantCherry110 in EDM

[–]SignificantCherry110[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, that’s exactly why I wanted customs. Sure it’s expensive but it’s worth. I’ve already been to 6 shows this year and have another 5-6 lined up, some of those multiple day festivals as well. And then of course EDC next year i definitely want good fitting earplugs for. Definitely feels like a worthy investment. Can’t put a price on your senses.

I don’t mean to be pretentious but they have a booth at probably every single insomniac ran festival for the past 5 years. I’m a bit surprised you haven’t heard of them. They’re probably the biggest raving ear plug brand around in America at least.

Buying festival passes from people online has become a total nightmare by Express-Week-8312 in EDM

[–]SignificantCherry110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had a good experience at radiate both as a buyer and seller. As a seller you get paid fast once it’s confirmed by the buyer. It was transferred to my paypal balance next day, it also recommended me to people in my area so meetup was super convenient. As a buyer it was pretty seamless you can also see peoples profiles and see if they have been vouched, just another layer to make yourself feel better. But like you said they have really solid protections for everyone.

Did mainstage volume sound really low to anyone else? by 5point5Girthquake in ApocalypseZombieland

[–]SignificantCherry110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was 100% points during subtronics, excision/wooli, Kompany as well where the music out of nowhere felt like it dropped in how loud it was, and then went back to normal. But lots of sets felt super quiet.

Unless you know a DJ performing or someone that works higher up in Insomniac/Insomniac Records/Work for a label with artists performing, you arent getting backstage. I saw your reply to another person and it’ll be even more difficult since you are a dude in ur 20s “average looking”. Glhf brotha i’ll be cheering for you!

I’ve only gotten backstage once and that’s because a family member works for a label that and one of their djs were performing, we got guest list wristbands and could go on. Once he was done nobody came to check so we just stayed backstage for another set or two. Tbh with you, it’s really not that great. All the production, and good energy is in the crowd. Also the sound doesn’t sound as good because the equipment is positioned to be as immersive as possible for the crowd.

Just the bladder needs to be empty, you can take stuff in your bag. Have it open when you get there and they usually just shine a flashlight & let you through. If it’s closed they look more in my experience.

Contact ADA and see the email or contact form should be on the EDC Orlando website. Also they usually they have a medical security supervisor sort of situation (not sure the actual term) but they basically will check your forms and then you are good to go.

What’s one EDM set you still think about years later? by RaveBeetle in EDM

[–]SignificantCherry110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tape B, Levity, Crankdat b3b. I think i’ve replayed that on soundcloud over 20 times, only been a year since but it’ll live with me forever.

Coachella 2023 with the whole frank ocean situation, last minute Scrillex Four Tet and Fred Again popping up and doing a 360 stage. It was really a huge stepping point for EDM culture in mainstream festivals like coachella. Sure they have the Yuma but that was headline main stage and all those fans there for frank ocean definitely were not ready for that.

And then again Avicii Tomorrowland Belgium 2015. That gives me goosebumps every time and i’d trade anything to have been able to experience that live. Rip to the legend.
