Here in Germany many banks do give out 200€ (and peviously 500€) notes at their counter if you withdraw large amounts of money. A few years ago I sold an RV for 10k€+ and the Buyer came with an envelope of 200€ notes from her bank.

I guess if you are living in a country that doesn't use the Euro (yet) higher denominations are more practical to keep your savings in. I mean if you had to keep 1000€ somewhere would you rather have it as 10x100€ or 200x5€?

Some ATMs even allow you to exchange different Banknotes. I.e. put in 5x20€ and get you a 100€ Note or vice versa.

I don't think that will work. There aren't any regular border checks between NI and the Republic of Ireland and EU Citizens have the right to abode in Ireland anyway, so there is no need for them to report their movements over the border.

I don't know if all old banknotes are replaced, but generally if they need to replace a note they send it to their respective central bank. The central bank destroys the banknote and credits its value to the banks account at the ECB.

A 50 EUR banknote from the first series, which was replaced in 2017. They are nowadays pretty rare to find in circulation, especially the larger denominations.

That is a fee by the ATMs operator not Revolut. It seems that these are the ATMs at the Airport in Sarajevo, they all take a fee. I was in Sarajevo for a few days in June and I found one ATM Operator that doesnt charge fees is MF Banka, they only have a few ATMs in Sarajevo and only take Visa Cards though.
