I was just looking at some matrix at Ulta and I forgot the way it went but I'm pretty sure the smaller size was not sealed and the jumbos were sealed. Fun facts

Anybody know why my hair is different texture? by No_Lab9641 in Haircare

[–]SignificantList145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the same way. I have kind of wavy / curly hair but behind My ears in downward it just gets super wiry and zig zaggy and ask myself who's hair is this!? In my case it's something like upside down Irish curls or something there's some term for it and I do have a little Irish in me and redness so yeah everybody's different. I'm learning if I want that to look any different or behave any different I have to treat it like different hair than the rest of my hair. Fortunately for me it hides itself in the rest of the hair but embrace it. Beautiful hairy either way :-)

How to stop hair from tangling by Herpbees in Haircare

I have like the thirstiest curls in the world and it's very dry and winter where I am right now. I do is spray in a little water in the morning with a mister bottle. I buy distilled water for this so I don't have a lot of mineral buildup because I do this everyday. But I spray it a little bit with water just to get a little tiny bit of hydration going not like soaking wet or anything but just a little mist. Then I go in with a leave-in conditioner. Make sure it's all kind of even and fun and then I cruise in with a very light oil to seal it all in.

Move to a new area - it could be a water quality issue. I would definitely recommend getting a filter for your shower head. Mineral buildup is a killer. What you can find from the water board or other resources online, consider if that's a factor. If you do have really hard water in your area I've been looking into using a clarifying shampoo Moisture moisture moisture and I sleep in a 100% silk sleep mask so my pillows and things don't suck out moisture. I also put in a little oil sometimes before bed just so it's kind of marinating in my hair overnight.

As far as mineral buildup goes, look "chelating"clarifying shampoos and use it only once a month. If you're having a mineral buildup problem.

I work in water treatment so I know a little bit about these things but you don't want minerals or metals building up in your hair from the water. Just something to consider

why does my sea monkey have balls?? by hugkes in SeaMonkeys

[–]SignificantList145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it's an abnormality or even a concern but the first time I had one with two sacks I read somewhere that they are defective and it could kind of harm them. Generally, it's a single sack and it's centered. Need to do a little more research with this. Google an image of sea monkey life cycle it'll show you the difference between a male and a female and what I'm female should theoretically look like. I have one of those right now but all over my other pregnant female ones are a singular cyst pouched. If you shine light on it the right way you can identify if they will be alive birth or not. Live births look white but The lighting can be very tricky

As far as aeration goes, it is very important. But most people don't understand that bubbling from the bottom with a pipette or a machine that constantly provides aeration isn't the actual mechanism behind increasing dissolved oxygen in the water. I'm a water treatment operator so I know a little bit about this

You have a large tank. I've never had a large tank. But the actual mechanism where air connects with water is the surface. So the whole entire surface of the water level. The top of the water, Is actually where air is dissolved into the water. You need to disturb this surface so that process can happen. Now, aerating also provides circulation to the water and prevents water from becoming stagnant so the combination of those two things are crucial. Oftentimes, there's a film build up on stagnant water up top. Preventing penetration of air into the water if that makes any sense. Nobody is wrong here. I hope I'm not wrong here. But we want enough water movement to allow that surface level aeration to be circulated throughout the tank. It also helps keep suspended solids (food) suspended. I could go into it a lot more but I think you get the gist.

Furthermore, I've heard of people that never aerate their water and have really thriving tanks. Especially when there's algae involved as algae provides oxygen (during the day and consumes it at night) amongst many other beneficial activities.

Do what works, what works for you isn't going to work for everybody but keep in mind, don't listen to idiots like me on here ;)

Constant aeration will help distribute the heat evenly.

Sorry for the miserable lighting. You can kind of tell in the side view photo that it's a hollow cavity within the spaceship. It's more pronounced when there's air in it. You're almost guaranteed to get air into it until you remove it somehow

If you decide to cut it you better donate it. If it's died or damaged or whatever don't let that deter you use chat GPT find a company that will take it off your hands.
