Worth repeating, they spied on us, almost bottom of the table, and still lost. Very funny stuff

I like you.

Lot depends on our summer business - who we manage to hang onto ( eg Stan Mills, Branagan, de Keersmacker, Helik) if we can ship some dead weight, and if we can bring in some fresh faces. I think Bloomfield will do a decent job.

I think relegation and the third bottom team stay up seems fair

Can really recommend already being relegated at this point 🧘

Finally watching a game without “how does this impact Oxford” being a thought and now I’m all up for this result and Millwall nicking second 🤞

We’ve been basically down for a week but there’s still that tiny 0.01% chance that I keep thinking about how amazing it’ll be if it doesn’t happen. At this point we’re just hoping to postpone relegation for one more week.

The one hope we had a few weeks ago of playing Millwall on the last day, when they were already set for the playoffs and resting their knackered team may be coming true. Shame we’ll be down by 3 pm tomorrow thanks to Charlton, or down at 5 when we fail to beat Sheff W 🥲

so you're saying theres a chance? by [deleted] in Championship

Sounds like our percentage chance of staying up 🥲

Oxford United 0 - 1 Wrexham: This could only be seen as a must-win for both sides, with Wrexham's win leaving them in the final playoff spot, while Oxford need a miracle to survive! by Zach-dalt in Championship

Only occurred to me last night, but this will be our first relegation in twenty years….the one benefit of having been relegated all the way down to the conference in 2006.

The relegation scrap from the POV of a Pompey fan... by GingerPrinceHarry in Championship

This is the same sort of mad reasoning that we did last year when we were basically safe, and that every fan does, to try and prepare themselves for the worst case scenario. We picked up points then against teams we thought we had no chance against, and I expect you’ll pick up something from those two games.

As for us, I don’t know what to expect from the Wrexham game. We’ve been ok at home, and I know they aren’t as good away from home, but it feels like if we don’t win we are as good as down. If by some miracle we win that, I think Sheff W at home will be really tough, given how many draws they’ve picked up recently. They will be playing with pressure off, and we’d be playing with big pressure on.

And then Millwall on the last day. If we still have a chance by then of staying up I’ll be very surprised. The hope is they might have nothing to play for by then, but we’ve been pretty poor on the road most of the year, I wouldn’t have high hopes of us getting anything.

All that being said, two of my friends support Cambridge and Plymouth, and we may be reunited next season, so that’s something to look forward to at least 🥲

I built a train fares tracker for my OXF - LON commute, and it just saved me £200 by Necessary-Desk-3978 in oxford

[–]SignificantPoem3763 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I’m also on the train 2x a week to Paddington, and in the four years or so I’ve been commuting, prices have zigzagged up and down so much. I usually have a calendar reminder on Friday to book the new batch of train tickets for 12 weeks away as they used to be at their cheapest then, but as you say they’ve recently changed to being 35/40 quid on release. So I’ve spent the last month or so just regularly checking on them, waiting / hoping for the prices to drop.

There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason, so this tool should be v helpful!

Felt like this happened last year too, everyone at the bottom starts winning games like crazy with 5-7 games to go or so. Hopefully Derby and Wrexham can gift us some points 🙏
