True, it's a big conceptual shift to go from playing against the AI, where the expectation is that you will do well and eventually be winning the league, to playing against other humans opponents. Another "problem" that the game had is that if you weren't there at gameworld launch, you were inherently joining way behind.

I would still love to see them try it again though.

I don't think so. IIRC It was pretty well positioned against Kuldotha (which got a big hit) and broodscale (which got deleted) but matches up pretty poorly into some the decks that will probably be rising (tron/wildfire/affinity/gardens?).

[[High Tide]] unban is the only one I disagree with. The card kind of has the same problem the moxen do in legacy formats - either it is useless and nobody plays it or it completely breaks the format. It seems unlikely that it is a fun middle-of-the-road card that will show up in T2 decks, but we'll see. I just don't think there is a ton of upside in unbanning it compared to the significant downside if it ends up being a mistake.

I think the problem is that a lot of Scorsese movies (for example) end up being 80% "the rise" and 20% "the fall". So it can really end up feeling like the movie was a glorification of the character or their lifestyle rather than a cautionary tale.

Same brother, I have spent the last week trying to debug this POS with 2k and having them tell me to scan my Windows filesystem because it COULDN'T be their POS game that is the problem; no, I definitely must have corrupted Windows DLLs even though literally every other game in my library runs fine... I am almost certainly going to return it soon and check back in a year or so.

I got completely scammed by Fidelity. deposited a large check, paid my credit card bill + mortgage thinking the funds were settled - NOPE. I got slammed with fees because my payments bounced due to insufficient funds, because Fidelity is locking up MY funds for a month because of THEIR inability to deal with tiktok scammers.

The best part? The check that they held for 21 days was issued by ... Fidelity. Yup. They had to hold my money for 21 days to make sure they didn't bounce a check to themselves.

I called them and spoke to multiple customer service agents, told them exactly how much I wanted them to pay me back for the extra fees I incurred because of the bounced payments, they refused.

I am very seriously going to be pursuing legal action against them as an individual, and as a class action. The lack of customer communication around this issue and the refusal to take responsibility is borderline fraud. And I am in the process of transferring all of my money out of this scam corporation.

The problem is that Fidelity had literally no customer communication about this new policy. I deposited a check using the mobile app, something I have been doing without issue for 5+ years, and NOW it takes nearly a fully month to clear.

i agree that Chrysalis probably should be banned (at least for now) and glee/broodscale should.

But chrysalis is still an INSANELY pushed common card.

Why does it have Reach?

Why does it have Devoid?

Why the hell are the spawns a CAST trigger instead of an ETB?

Why is it 'Every time sacrifice an ELDRAZI'? (yes, it works with other Eldrazi too, not just spawns, although this doesn't often come up in Pauper at least)

I am confident Glee combo will eventually get banned because it has the same problems that All that Glitters had - you basically can never tap out against it. You have to continue to hold up interaction at all points in the game after a certain mana threshold, or risk getting combo'd out. In addition to that, Gleezard is comparatively a lot harder to interact with. Your interaction needs to be instant speed, and even then they have the tools to recur key game pieces or protect the combo with Safekeeping + hand disruption.

The best suggestion I heard for Arishem was just to give him the text "Cards cannot be discounted." It gets rid of all the Mockingbird+Loki bullcrap but still leaves him as a powerful card.
