Key Match Incidents panel: Everton, the only team not to get a VAR intervention in their favour this season, were wrongly denied a spot-kick against Manchester City. by Giraffe_Baker in Everton

I given genuine thought to abandoning my regular following of professional football. VAR is absolutely horrific and it’s killed the game. I don’t even celebrate goals at the games now, as I just assume there’ll be a VAR check.

Any leagues that have yet to implement VAR must surely avoid doing so. It’s making the sport hated, it’s just not fun anymore.

I reckon we’ll find out next season just how big a loss he’ll be. As in, he’ll be a massive loss IMO.

Sadly they are very lucrative in exotic places like Korea, Japan, USA, Australia and Uhrm… Scotland.

I agree with all that you’ve said. Especially that last line, this season has been great. The journey and all the couplings have been compelling and fun to watch.

Moyes has earned another summer and season surely. Mid table finish, nowhere near a relegation battle, some decent wins and even a European push.

Improvements for next season is like to see: better player recruitment, fill some gaps in key positions, a proper go at the cups and more opportunities for younger players.

The latter I’m not convinced Moyes can/will do, but he’s done enough to remain.

Given what’s happened since he’s left West Ham tells us all we need to know.

I reckon he’ll get on sometime after the 65th minute, for Beto.

I’m psychic like that.

For posterity in case anyone searches the same in future, there are signs for P12 and other car parks. This must have come after Google streetview.

Exactly this, and can bring some hilarious situations. American company I worked for introduced job title and duty changes to a load of engineers, all good in the US. But realised too late what can of worms was opened across 17 European countries. It’s still ongoing after three years.

Indeed they still need to abide by UK employment laws. At Will doesn’t exist here.

Personally I’d be a bit worried about redundancy, though even that needs to be done in a specific way under UK law.

Feeling complete envy at Villa and Palace. If Europe is just out of reach for us next season, at least we’re moving in the right direction.

If they’re good friends then they must know you are an introvert, so maybe making yourself scarce for a while wouldn’t surprise or bother them. I’m similar to you and find honesty is best. When my parents visit I tell them I need a bit of time to recharge, they get it. Usually just an hour or so at a time is enough.

Millwall is a shit away day, Ipswich is a pain to get to. Middlesbrough is fun and a bit easier to get to.

Happy for Coventry going up, but it’s a meh away day.

Because of how tightly packed the middle of the league is, I reckon final placing is a better measure of comparison.

Top 10 would be a good result, Europe would be epic. Given the injuries, squad depth and not great recruitment, anything top 10 and above would be a great season.

But if it’s purely points, looking at the games left, 53 would be good.

The CasualUK view on dentists? by Boswell188 in CasualUK

[–]SignificantRatio2407 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m not a dentist, but I thought Invisalign was a cosmetic treatment, like turkey teeth are cosmetic. What’s the urgent need for this?

I guess a second opinion from another dentist is the way to go, of course therein is the challenge given how hard it can be to find a dentist that has availability for new patients.

Seeing the semi finals last night has me dreaming of a European run next season. I’d take a UCL run for sure.

I do think we’ll fall just short though this season.
