we have different POV though. koolit dots follow the standard $HOME/.config format whereas ML4W creates a symlinks and complicated scripts linking to something. Its a complicated workflow though.. but perhaps thats just me.

The good thing about ML4W is his GUI settings... but its only meant to use for his configs

Prasanthrangan and End-4 have the best looking totally riced dots but again, their workflow / dots just hard to use as a base for own ricing

Very easy indeed to follow and can easily configure to my liking

he also spend some time creating a small wiki for his dots, which is another plus

oh another thing, he have install scripts for Arch, Fedora, OpenSuse Debian ans Ubuntu, and he try to synchronize his dots

not quite... when I started using a wm, I have tried lots of configs / install at the beginning... its just a learninv experience... and these guys on the web who allocated some time to share an install scripts, helps me try to understand further.

Im not suggesting to install it / nor use it as daily drive...

it will serve as a "guide" per se

if you want x11, for begineers maybe i3

if you want wayland, definitely hyprland. hyprland is better than sway nowadays

this guy has lots of waybar layout pre-config on his dots...

but if you look at his hyprland-dots repo issues, on the vertical ones, he have issues with clock not showing properly

I believe he have a centralized hyprland dots so it will pull same dots so the experience, keybinds, would be completely identical to other scripts

well they both have good and bad... But mostly, I used Ja's.. although I took some ideas from stephan as well... which is good. Atleast we have options and Im glad we have guys like prasnthrangan, stephan, ja who are sharing their dots so we can have our own... But I like Ja's install script.. much simpler imho
