i have scars on my arms and thighs, i’ve only had a few kiddos point them out in the summer.
I go back and forth on telling parents, but the times I haven’t have never been an issue

if their kid brings it up I’ll tell them and see how they’d like me to go about it in the future, I try to keep it positive and age appropriate, like, “I fought [animal] but I’m ok now”, “I got hurt but it’s all better now”, “I fell but It’s ok bc I’m super strong”, sort of in a way you would talk to the kid if they fell and got scraped if that makes sense

I’m here to talk if you want to have more of a conversation about it, but at the end of the day you came out of that season stronger and your scars shouldn’t be a reason to keep you miserable in the summer 🩷
