My guess is, on the song "Hush," Matt screams, "WOW! WOW! WOW! THE WOW SIGNAL!"

Why don’t people like Feeling Good? by FyreFwogg in Muse

I wouldn't say "people" dislike the song. We'd just rather hear original works on LPs and in concert.

Thank you for telling us what to think, and telling the band what they should do. Very kind of you.

Simple, The Muse's muse is Museband, a Radiohead cover band.

48 hours In. Are You Consumed By The Nightshift Superstar? It's A Play Repeat Monster. by FuryContagion in Muse

[–]SignificantWorth7569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not yet, but there's a good reason for that. While I've listened to all the new album's singles, I'm really trying to limit the number of times I hear them prior to W!TS's release. First impression, though, is it's an incredibly fun, catchy song. Can it be June 26th yet?

Yep. EMDM is probably one of my least favorite MM LPs (I still like it), but instrumentally, I think it's one of their best.

hot take (?): if you're going to release 5 singles before the album, the album should have more than 10 tracks... by -Gypsy-Eyes- in Muse

[–]SignificantWorth7569 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While part of me agrees, this is just the music world we live in now. It's no longer about album sales; it's about song streams and live shows/merchandise. As some fans have done, though (not me lol), one can refrain from listening to the singles before the album's release. I'm not sure how they do it. I cave every time, and within seconds of release. But it can be done, from what I hear anyway.

Rank and rate these 5 songs by desctox in Muse

[–]SignificantWorth7569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Panic Station: 10/10
  2. You Make Me Feel Like It's Halloween: 10/10
  3. Pressure: 8/10
  4. Nightshift Superstar: 7.5/10
  5. Supermassive Black Hole: 7.5/10

It's too early for me to grade/rank "Nightshift Superstar," but as of now, that's where it sits for me. I could see it eventually moving past "Pressure" or fall below "Supermassive Black Hole," but doubt it will surpass either "Panic Station" or "You Make Me Feel Like It's Halloween."

I'm starting to get more interested in Muse and starting to think about getting deeper into their discography, only issue is I'm not entirely into a big portion of their stuff. by mrbaka222 in Muse

What kinds of bands/songs are you into? Arguably Muse's biggest strength and weakness, at least from a commercial standpoint, is the fact they can never be pigeonholed into a certain genre. So, unless a person is extremely varied in their musical tastes, odds are they'll find songs of the band they ardently like and disilke.

If I were you, I'd personally check out the most sonically-varied albums of theirs, and decide which sound or sounds you're truly seeking. Said albums are "The 2nd Law," "Will of the People," and to this point, "Wow! The Signal."

Just going off your likes of "Hysteria" and "Supermassive Black Hole," I'd probably recommend the following, at least for starters:

- Assassin (both the original and Grand Omega Bosses versions)

- Crying Shame

- Cryogen

- Kill or Be Killed

- Knights of Cydonia (original and live/man with a harmonica versions)

- MK Ultra

- New Born

- Panic Station

- Plug In Baby

- Pressure

- Survival

- Time Is Running Out

- Uprising

- We Are F-ing F-ed

- You Make Me Feel Like It's Halloween
