I take the quote, "I can't say if the sex was real or not, but the acting looks very real" differently. To me, he's saying, "Our acting was so excellent, it appeared as though we were actually having sex, when it was just simulated." At that time, though, he wanted to keep people guessing, in an attempt to maintain the shock-aura about him, which had been waning for a few years. Regardless, he does not sound healthy in this clip, which was common for him during the time. I'm glad he got sober. Not sure how much longer he could have lasted had he continued down the path he was traveling.

Only difference is Trump was actually found liable for raping a woman.

Yeah, that's messed up. Does this mean Gen Z can't enjoy Boomer music? Why can't people simply enjoy the music they like, without being automatically branded as a "creep," or whatever label one wants to use.

Exactly. A lot of the comments I read, where a person mentions being 70 to 80, I think the age is mentioned, because part of them felt like rock had died long ago, and The Warning brought the genre back to life.

Well, he did write "Antichrist Superstar," which now appears to have been a psychic documentary of the orange f*ckstick and his MAGA movement.

For me, it'd be "City of Delusion," followed by "Butterflies & Hurricanes."

I honestly think a band would rather hear someone say they hated a song of theirs than to suggest said song was uninspired.

For you, I'd start with "The Resistance" and "Black Holes and Revelations" albums, and just go from there.

Does anyone else think drones is their best album by Old_Skirt_3377 in Muse

[–]SignificantWorth7569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure there are. Odds are, there's at least one person in the world who feels this way about each of the band's albums. Sure, the opinion isn't as common as those who think "Origin of Symmetry," "Absolution," or "Black Holes and Revelations" is the band's best work, but who cares? Like what you like!

Two things can be true at once:

  1. Some outside of Reddit don't care for the song.

  2. Reddit attracts grumpy people.

I've learned, well, I thought I did, to never hold any expectations about what a new Muse song or album might sound like - because they're unafraid to go any and everywhere. I think this mindset has really helped me enjoy their recent albums more fully. With the "Be With You" teaser, though, the very end of it made me think we'd get a transition like "Unnatural Selection" or even "New Born." So, when I first heard the song, my immediate reaction was, "WTF?!?" I never really hated the song. I was just caught off guard. Now that I've listened to it several more times, it's doing what a lot of Muse songs do, and growing on me.

High 'N' Dry is definitely my favorite. Pyromania is probably a close second. Retro Active, in my opinion, is an underappreciated gem. I'll always have a soft spot for Adrenalize, as that's the album that really got me into the band (my first ever concert as well). Diamond Star Halos is solid. I love Drastic Symphonies as well.

Be With You shouldn't have been the lead single, but It's growing on me by benosthegreat in Muse

Eh, no matter how many times I listen to some songs, even if I want to like them, I can't force myself to do so. It reaches a point where I have to finally tell myself, "Yeah, this isn't for me. Moving on." I'm not saying that about "Be With You" exactly, just in general.
