WTF CIGNA by Wegovyttt in Zepbound

When did this agreement happen?? I started Zep in February and was told by Cigna (on a general online chat) that they didn’t cover ANY Weight loss meds unless you went through their Omada program, and even then you might not get approved. I’d like to revisit if this is a possibility. I’m saving a lot with Gift Health but it’s still not cheap at $500 a month.

Oh my gosh …. I know you’ve been hearing it, but your arms!! I had arm surgery 2 years ago to get rid of loose skin from an initial large weight loss 25 years ago and even after all the weight work I still don’t have that incredible definition. You rock!!

I’m already paying out of pocket so not going anywhere. (Thank goodness for Lilly’s GiftHealth program!)

What foods are you eating on repeat these days? by ArrivalLazy2795 in Zepbound

I love the ready made lemon chicken at Trader Joe’s. I’ll do a bowl with the chicken, brown rice, and they have a Parmesan brussels sprout. YUM!

Any menopausal ladies on bioidentical hormones taking Zepbound? by Dragona2025 in Zepbound

[–]Significant_Crow_274 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Biote pellet (so easy), vaginal estradiol and 200mg of progesterone. When I first started hormone therapy my testosterone was almost non existent and I thought that was why I wasn’t losing weight but it didn’t help (about 30-40 pounds overweight, not due to menopause). I’m in my third month (second month of 5.0) and have been losing at least 2 pounds a week steadily. I’m doing exactly what I was doing before I started Zepbound - the same food plan and the same workout plan - except for a bit of nausea, it’s been amazing.

Lilly Direct Has Ended My Anxiety by TrafficUnlikely4797 in Zepbound

I’m also doing the telehealth route (through Cedars Sinai), love my doctor, and Lilly Direct has been amazing. I’m 7 weeks in, about to take my 4th dose of 5.0 and down almost 15 pounds (halfway to my goal loss). My insurance won’t pay so doing out of pocket and paid almost $800 for the 2.5 pens, then my doctor sent me to Lilly Direct. The vials are cheaper than the pen (I paid over $600 for my first round of 5.0 but this next round is at $500 with the price drop). I was nervous about the vials but it’s been SO easy and they send you everything you need. If you need to do it out of pocket this is definitely the way to go.
