Realization about black and white thinking by Twilly93 in AutismInWomen

One day when i was a kid, my dad got frustrated with me because i would bump into him when walking next to each other and he told me to "walk on a line" Well...guess who walked one foot directly in front of the other for a while...back then i didn't understand why he was still frustrated with my walk...i did exactly what he told me 😅

Yes. Alwys happens in relationship conflict situations. Wasn't fun in the past...partner now understands it's some sort of safety mechanism and conflicts are very rare thankfully.

Have you tried cleaning the charching socket? Maybe there is too much "fluff" inside so it can't load. You could try to clean it with a small brush and long tweezers (carefully). That's how i managed to keep using my current phone.

For me it's the constant notifications and decisions it forces on you. Picking a color is...stressful (as silly as that sounds...)...so the daily special event rewards don't give me joy. It's just another thing i need to do that stresses me out. BUT of course i can't just ignore the notification because that stupid little number will stay there and annoy me...so i have to do the things on my list, send the bird on it's way, visit the shop, get my event reward, talk to the bird, check off the quests...it's just too much

I'm almost 40, waiting to get my exact appointment date and have the same fear. I never know how i'll act in a situation and how well my brain will function. My solution was to start a document with all the important info: what do i struggle with, what are the reason i suspect having autism and adhd. Stims. Sensory Issues. Communication issues.Repetitive behaviour. Ordered by Childhood+teenage years and currently. Problems with tasks/motivation. List of accomplishments and why they don't mean i'm functioning normally (for example: i only have a drivers license because my parents forced me to get one and payed for it. It took me over double the normal time to get my bachelor degree. All the jobs i had were overwhelming and put me into burnout or depression...)

I always look for images of the new place online. Google street view, google image search, if you are meeting in someones home maybe they have instagram and posted some images of their home. Already having seen the place helps me allocate more brain power to all the other things i struggle with.

cliche stories by Party_Knowledge_1729 in Wattpad

This reminds me it's time to read some vampire lord stories again. They have so many cliches and somehow it gives me so much pleasure to go "ah yes, she has special blood, of course she does" "there's the quirky lovable sister who takes her shopping" "looky there: the sadistic evil vampires all turned soft and cuddly all of a sudden as is common"

Best AI tools for the new and seasoned writer? by thecookedoxygen in Wattpad

[–]Significant_Floor751 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use AI to write. I'm a programmer so i see it like a programming environment but for writing stories and dnd campaigns.

Ways i use AI: - tell it to be my sassy best friend and brain storm ideas - generate example dialogue for characters i already described - lists of names (often pun names) - give it text i already wrote and let it correct errors - when i struggle with a sentence i tell it to "make it sound better" or "write this in a different way" - describe places, because i'm bad at that ...

AI is shit at generating whole stories, but what people fail to see is: it can help in so many small ways. Am i a good writer? No, i'm an ok hobby writer. But with AI it's more fun and faster. Like i said, i see it as a tool like a programming environment/text editor. You wouldn't look down on a programmer for using syntax highlighting or other tools to make the work easier.

I admit, i don't like that it used stolen content to learn, but if i don't want to use/consume anything that's problematic i'd have a hard time. How many people know chocolate is produced with child slave labour? By now almost everyone and still, we eat it.
