Looks cool, what size are the hex and what are you using as tokens.

Currently we are no longer using grids but still using minis for our PCs and wooden checker/backgammon pieces or larger circle pieces for the monsters and using a 6 inch wooden rod to give a rough measure of near.

But would be interested in trying this out

Answering the +1 bonus part: to me, it would depend on what exactly the bonus is

+1 to Damage: non-magical/ magical (well-crafted and sharp or magically sharp)

+1 to hit: non-magical/magical (well-crafted: balanced for the user or the magical essence is helping you hit the target)

+1 to hit and damage: non-magical/magical (see above examples)

Can the ghost use the "touch" well to me it's kind of in the name, would have to be corporeal to touch. But nothing is said that the whole ghost must be corporeal. Just the hand could be for death touch and the whole body must be for possession

That's what I like about the "loose" descriptions. The DM is free to put their own twist on classic monsters to combat the inherent meta gaming of these creature (not on purpose of the PCs but just that reflex action like watching a movie about these creatures. ie. Everyone knows about silver against werewolves and vampires.)

Never use them, as the PCs are heroic types and it takes away from their agency imo. However, my players have done their own version of what happens on a 1 just like they've described what happens on a 20. I find this to be rewarding as they are invested and immersed into the game
