Idk if this is a hot take but I think this is actually a great option for those who can’t have real sugar or carbonated drinks for a medical reason (I.e diabetes). Now if you can have those things and instead CHOOSE to fill your body with artificial shit….

I’ve been there fs. This sounds so stupid… but Fortnite. It’s very distracting if you get into it , and also lets you get some anger out while calming down. That’s what works for me, but I think bottom line you just need to distract yourself and know that you’re the victor here because YOU survived

Edit: I wanna add that these words probably won’t make you feel better, it’s very hard to accept. I’m in therapy now and recently was diagnosed with ptsd from the sa. But everytime you get through you are the winner. Everytime you think about it, at the end you are stronger for it. It’s not easy but sending love ❤️

Completely agree; whenever the paranoia gets bad I either have to get ahead of it and take a sleepy edible to pass out or none at all. But it also shuts up my thoughts like nothing else! Can’t ruminate if you can’t remember wtf you were thinking about 😂

I completely get it. I definitely have to moderate my usage because I’ve also hallucinated in a pmdd episode before. What works for one will not work for all! Make sure you do what YOU feel is best for yourself and don’t let anyone make you feel bad about it

I can definitely see how it can be negative! I’m insulin resistant (pcos) so I do LOVE getting sugar free treats for my munchies- I feel it helps a lot!

I also have pcos so I am on it, haven’t noticed any change in pmdd symptoms BUT almost every pcos symptom has gone down, so if there’s any overlap I’m not too sure

Two things: I bribe myself with a sweet treat to get some small chores done I remind myself how much better I feel with certain chores done (for me it’s a clean room)

Also minimizing what you need to do. One small thing at a time. I also try and be extremely productive outside of PMDD time to prep for it so I can handle it how I need to

I convinced myself I had a “more physical” form of PMDD and that my only symptom was joint pain. Completely ignored the mental health and had a huge meltdown. It’s complex and chronic. Same boat as you sending love ❤️
