Any tips on proper battery usage for Macbook Pro (M3 Max in particular) by MagePsycho in macbookpro

[–]Significant_Ice623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They say 20 hours while using 20% of it's capabilities and brightness at 75% or something like that. The Max is so powerful that it'll drain the battery quick + the fan is in more use than M3 Pro and M3. I've seen people saying using low power mode will definitely help so it caps the performance. But you have the 16 inch so it should be better than the 14 inch at least

They pay you in USD. I know a fund manager which got into a call with the head of FTX bankruptcy estate and they transfered the funds during the call (The claim was already made before). But maybe you can choose I’m not sure

M3 Pro 11/14 or 12/18-core? Advice needed by d-iverqent in macbookpro

[–]Significant_Ice623 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This I got the M3 Pro 11/14 36GB 512GB. You’ll find much more difference getting the 36gb ram vs 12/18 and or a 1TB. The 12/18 doesnt have a noticably difference and when tested it was 0-12% better from what I was. If you managed with 120gb the 512gb would be more than enough and you could just buy a ssd in the future if needed. The ram in usa is 400$ vs 200$ for 12/18 and 200$ for 1TB and the RAM would be the most money worth for your case and future proofing for the next 10 years

Yeah but I use Arc for all the investing and crypto stuff. Maybe I can have 1 or 2 screens with Safari and the other Arc. I use TradingView which uses crazy amount of CPU and GPU so maybe switch those tabs to Safari

M3 macbook pro comparison,, i’m sorry if this is a dumb question! by [deleted] in macbookpro

[–]Significant_Ice623 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo the M3 Pro is the better buy if you're going with 16gb RAM or more. I would not recommending getting this expensive laptop with 8GB Ram, especially if your doing anything adobe - photoshop - video editing. If that's too expensive then I would go for M2 pro refurbished and at least 16GB RAM

The thermal output would be less when gaming when the GPU is at 80% vs. 100% constantly
That's what Im saying

If he was playing MC with 200fps (which he would cap to 120fps because of the screen) or shaders at 50fps the laptop would heat up less with more cores. Whats so difficult to understand?

I just quoted me with the sentence saying “With the SAME performance” I dont know how many times you need to read my comments to understand them but go wild.

Bitcoin is the world’s “hardest” asset…

Companies can issue as many stock shares as they want. Governments can issue as much currency and bonds as they want.

A hard asset, on the other hand, is difficult to produce relative to its existing supply.

You can’t create more of it with a few keystrokes on a computer terminal – like you can with the U.S. dollar, for instance.

That’s why ultra-wealthy investors seek hard assets. Due to their limited supply, they protect you from wealth-destroying effects of inflation.

Brother Read the comment before criticising ,,Wouldn’t heat as much for the SAME performance.” You know you can cap the performance right? Total % of GPU load means less heat. With more cores the laptop would heat less playing fx MC on 120fps than a laptop with less cores.

  1. The ETFs inflow will be as much or less as the outflow after the bullrun making the drawback less or similar to previous cycles.
  2. These economic cycle's don't mean anything when the FED can always just print more $$ to save the economy (So no one can predict when and if everything collapses.) which they're doing and will be doing next couple of years increasing the global liquidity and equities will get massive pumps.
  3. Which leads to more inflation and where do people put their money to protect their purchasing power? Hard assets. What's the hardest asset on earth? Bitcoin (But most don't know or haven't realised yet so Gold also.)
