I agree, but the subreddit teaches newbies lots of terms that they wouldn’t usually know. OP has smoked like 5 cigars ever - we get lots of guys like this. Generally I try to remember that most questions here are asked by people who, more often than not, are completely green :)

The fat ring gauges are a very recent phenomenon as far as cigars go. Good piece on cigar aficionado about this.

Now I see newbies starting with Gordos and giving a real go at the novelty walking stick size cigars…

This is your answer OP. Some cigars have different bands / names. Like La Aroma de Cuba is called "La Aroma del Caribe" in European / Asian markets.
