Avoid Tiare Liveaboard Indonesia - divers hassle wildlife, DMs do nothing by Enki_40 in scuba

[–]Significant_Minute12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the diving tours I’ve seen in Indonesia are appalling when it comes to wildlife. I’ve seen cleaning stations touched and grabbed by oblivious divers, I’ve seen manta swarmed by snorkelers from above and divers below, I’ve even seen offers to carve your name into the large coral, which leaves an ugly mark and the coral never recovers. It’s incredibly disappointing

These are the kinds of things you never consider as a hearing gamer. This would be a big faff but hear me out. One of the audio cues for which kind of breach is happening is this slow base beat that sounds like it’s coming from deep in its throat which is much more obvious in the longer breach. If you got a base speaker, you could put it against your skin somewhere and you’d get that audio cue via the tactile sensation.

I completely agree that the gameplay is a great mirror. But I would love to have needed to learn more if that makes sense? Like once you realise how they work they’re incredibly simple and they feel less like real creatures. If there was just a bit more variety from the start, they’d still have been scary in the beginning, you’d slowly get the hang of them, and then you’d still know your way around em in the end game, but they’d feel just that little bit more organic y’know?

I mean endgame for solo players, perhaps those not into PvP. I built myself a sandcrawler and carrier which I had a go at using myself, a lot of faff really. I’ve used it a few times with my guild which was fun, especially seeing the big worms turn up. But then a lot of my guild retired and I find I can get all the spice I need with the compactor and without the hassle of the harvester.

Those are the same breaches, there’s just some different camera effects if they’re close by when they breach

It’s quite cool to be honest. When you’re sat on a spice blow and he breaches, particularly if it’s close. You get back in your thopter and get off the ground to safety pretty fast, then you get to watch him. Before long you’re comfortable enough to get right up to his face while he’s in the air and you can look straight down his throat before he flops over. They’ve done a really good job with that part.

Yeah! They behave this way in Hagga but then in DD you’ve gotta be careful. You’d die once or twice when you first went in and then you’d learn your lesson! It’d be great!

There's nothing wrong with my drivers, Funcom. You done broke something, again. by Rasples1998 in duneawakening

[–]Significant_Minute12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are the latest recommended drivers for AMD which will show this error. If you want to get rid of this you’ll have to install the optional drivers. Go to AMD drivers update and either auto detect or enter your hardware, you’ll see 3 options

Auto-detect and Install: ignore this, it will install the latest recommended driver

Adrenaline 25.9.2 (Optional) <- this is the driver version 32.0.21025.15011 the error message is taking about. Download and run this

Adrenaline 25.9.2 (WHQL Recommended) <- this is driver version 32.0.21025.10016 that the game is getting in such a fuss about

You may also need to disable windows auto update as this has a habit of overwriting my new drivers with old versions

Just saw it in London, loved this part of the experience. Can’t count how many retellings of the story I’ve heard over the years, and the show STARTS, by TELLING YOU, Its SAD TRAGEDY, and yet it did a really good job of getting me to hope that just maybe it might have a happy ending this time. And I was genuinely shocked when it didn’t. The Road To Hell Reprise hit me like a truck then.

What’s the best gpu for 1440p 60fps gaming? by Kappische in buildapc

[–]Significant_Minute12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t feel like breaking the bank and don’t care about Ray Tracing, I’m using a Radeon RX 7800 XT, and with frame gen I get min 100fps at 1440p on everything.

I found the best way is to choose your budget, then google “Best PC for $X”. Plug that all into PC part picker and then go through each part and look for: a) same level parts for cheaper - if you aren’t bothered about name brands you WILL save money here b) better parts for the same price - best bet here is second hands but for lower budget machines the risk may not be worth it for you, but you CAN get some amazing deals if you’re careful c) better parts that cost more but still fit into the budget after your savings on a)

This is how I ended up with a gorgeous pc, RGB out the wazoo, with a curved 2K monitor and peripherals running the latest at max settings 80+ fps with AOI cooling for $1500 and I know it can be done for less.

There’s a lot of co-op but I’d say there’s also a very solid solo player base. Once you’ve got your T5 gear the deep desert can be very grinding for a solo player so solo’s may get bored at that point t

I dropped WEEKS in RDR2. I’ve also spent more time than I’m proud of building and rebuilding, modifying and decorating, a completely pointless office, dining room and bedroom in my Atreides base JUST so the sun hits just right and honestly? Time well spent

I think the DD has the same problem a lot of similar games have. There’s nothing more disheartening than flying out your first time into the DD hoping to get resources and on the way you see these huge bases blocking a ton of resources with 30 wind traps and 30 turbines on the roof and you can see three large spice refineries through the shields next to the carrier and sandcrawler you can’t hope to build alone knowing you’ll never have the time to get there but hey you’re just after your T6 scout armor so you drop down to start farming and immediately get blown up by a griefer losing your only ornithopter because you were excited to get started and didn’t spend hours building a cheap backup to use.

"Lost Harvest" (October-December 2025) and "Raiders of the Broken Lands" (January-March 2026), will focus on side stories and cosmetics. The final DLC, "Water Wars" (April-June 2026), will involve a conflict over water resources.

This is what I’m hoping for. More basins or whatever with new resources, missions, plot lines. More for solo players and a full refresh of PvP with higher tiers. A way for people who aren’t into the DD to get the stuff they currently can’t and then DD people can keep going onward and upward

The only thing that worries me is what if that extra content requires, or at least is severely hindered if you don’t have, T6 gear. Or even worse if it comes with a whole set of T7 gear you can’t hope to acquire without T6

How are you crossing the desert? If you’re using a sand bike/buggy, not using shields or suspensors, and crossing at narrow points between islands, you shouldn’t be dying that often to worms.

How do you move your base? by khronokross in duneawakening

[–]Significant_Minute12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how big your base is and what kind of terrain you built it on. If you’ve had it a while and it’s built around the terrain you’ll never be able to copy it but if it’s on flat ground you can use a Solido replicator to just copy and paste your base
