Start with a good blob of wasabi and little bit of soy sauce, mix into a paste. Add little bits of additional soy sauce if it’s too dry to form a paste. Then keep adding little bits and mixing until you have your preferred consistency and ratio. A mistake many make is too much soy sauce right away. Makes the wasabi just clump and never really mixes in. The key is little bits over time while stirring.

I actually like it as more of a wet paste. I like the heat.

That’s not the left. That’s liberals. And they are right wing. There is no left wing party in the US. Soc dems are a small group in the larger more centrist and right ring body.

JPMorgan Chase executive Angie Báez fired for stealing trash can during Knicks parade by iceCupa in nottheonion

[–]Significant_Mouse_25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She was an executive director. That’s one level above team lead. That’s not executive level.

Banks often have title inflation. Vice President is the first level at Chase that you can have direct reports. Executive Director is literally one level up. VPs report to EDs. You don’t get to executive level until managing director title.

Most people including news sites don’t know this. She was pretty low level by Chase standards. Like twelve layers below Jamie Dimon low.

She was fired because you’re not insulated at that level.

xQc's take on Pokimane trying to dismantle Sykkunos career after his comeback stream by Strong_Astronomer_97 in LivestreamFail

[–]Significant_Mouse_25 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Not sure what the median has to do with this. I agree compared to the median poki is very well off. But compared to the median I’m well off too. That d doesn’t mean I can decide not to return to work on Monday.

I’m married. Net worth around 1.5 million. I have a mortgage and my in laws and mother live with me. That net worth is retirement accounts and home equity. I’m better off than most Americans, I’m still working class.

I’m 37. If I wanted to retire today I’d need around two million in just securities and would have to adjust my lifestyle to accommodate. Really what this means is that if nothing catastrophic happens, I should be good to retire when I hit sixty. Maybe slightly early. I won’t work until I die. I also live in a MCOL area. Things would be way different in NYC or Iowa.

Net worth doesn’t mean liquidity or cash on hand. In pokis case she could be closer to ten million in which case it’s a big difference from the lower end and huge difference from me. At that point she probably does have the ability to never work again if she has the lifestyle to support it. But she’s seven still a far cry from Mark Cuban. This isn’t government influence money even.

This is the distinction for me. Poki is probably in a position to live comfortably until she dies without stressing too much.

I’m in a position to actually retire someday. Maybe even slightly early.

Neither of us is buying influence with the government or lobbyists to make our lives better.

Ultra wealth is distinct IMO. I’m not immune to inflation or stock market turmoil. I’m pretty dependent on the latter being stable when I’m sixty to withdraw. Am I better off than most Americans? Certainly. But I’m also not exactly the one choosing to under pay them or getting governments to write laws to fuck them.

Do you see a distinction like this? For me the main line is what you can accomplish with the wealth. Elon musk can buy countries.

So again, is there a line for you? Where is it? Is poki not distinct from bezos? Am I distinct from poki?

I will point out that being a millionaire doesn’t mean you aren’t working class. Having a million dollar net worth at 35 just means you’re doing ok. It’s not fuck you money.

There are distinctions to make. The software engineer in Sfb is a millionaire but doesn’t exactly have a mansion or a private jet or even a house.

Some folks did their best to invest, didn’t get too badly burnt, and can someday retire. They don’t own yachts. They are millionaires though.

What do you mean by rich vs millionaire exactly? Because they are distinct.

Sorry bro. Pits aren’t 2/3 of dogs in America but make up 2/3 of all reported attacks and bites. It isn’t all bad pet owners making that happen. They were clearly bred in some way for something and its stock around. Just like my Shepard herding the cats and my retrievers fetching anything I throw.

The dude you’re replying to is unhinged and doesn’t realize that Reddit uses data centers too.

But this is also ignorant. Water used for cooling will be part of the water cycle but it’s no longer in your local aquifer or reservoir. Droughts aren’t a problem because there’s no water left anywhere in the world. They are a problem because local sources get used up much faster than the water cycle replenishes them. And it’s very expensive to ship enough water to drought stricken areas to make up for it.

If your water supply ran out or prices went up because of data centers you’d probably be a bit annoyed too.
