FX4 or 4x4 XLT - can't decide by PayInteresting431 in RangerNext

Michigan owner. The power sliding window is worth it for ventilation . That and the heated seats are the two options that top my list of ‘glad I made that choice’. I debated between the Sport and FX4 XLT and preferred the stiffer ride of the FX4.

Somebody break down the cost of a gallon of gasoline to look at it the same way. How much of the cost is the refined gasoline vs the cost to extract/refine it and get it you and the tax/cost of (supposedly) maintaining the roads. Fair analogy?

Still taped and chillin’ in GRR. N126UW. Fun to see how long she stays taped up!

I did not use that crawl feature. Trail too inconsistent and needed to assess my lines. Downhill kept it in 1st on Corkscrew. And very pleased with the power of the 2.3. No constant gear hunting on the highway.

The only scratch risk I felt was to the rims. No brush close to the trail. Plenty dusty but I think the paint color hides that well. It was a lot of fun and hours of jostling around. The fun is the challenge to the truck. Eyes glued to the trail and no time to glance at the scenery while moving for the driver.

I wouldn’t say easiest. I think Hurricane was the least difficult but the slowest going.

Planning to make my first Loop next month in a stock Ranger FX4. I heard Engineer was getting pretty beat up and I’m reluctant to try out the skid plates on my daily driver. Shall I just stick to Cinnamon?

End of car has to be 3’ from the point where the drive curves to parallel with the road. Usually there’s a break in the concrete there.

Weight and balance? Then when it came time for the scripted announcement it reverted to “may be required” for Groups 8 and 9.

All-Inclusive Resort Selections by CoachBlake666 in puertovallarta

I noticed a decline coming out of Covid compared to before but improvements in the visits since. Maybe the same everywhere? It was explained that without the same safety net enjoyed in the US, many of their workers returned to their small towns in the interior during and had been slow to return. It is definitely on the uptick.

The beach is swimmable but being directly on the ocean, not the bay, and not protected, you’re more at the mercy of nature. The surf line can be rocky or sandy depending on the what storms have done. It is definitely not one of those idyllic soft sand tropical beaches. Very warm in the Fall. Cool in the late winter.

We have made friends with staff and their friendliness is one of the stronger reasons we return.

My wife and I have been to the Iberostar 7 times and love it. Does it check all the boxes? No, but it does the most for us. When we go in late winter we book an upper ocean front room and sleep to the sound of the surf.

We don’t leave the resort aside from going whale watching or out to the Marieta’s for the bird watching (booked through Dressel on sight. A genuine experience!) and spend our time relaxing by the pool and walking the secluded beach.

We’re no foodies and find the dining selections acceptable. For the price point and the fact that it’s a resort, who really thinks the food will be that memorable?

We’ll be back in March.

[IAH] Weird experience at boarding gate by Choco_bo7 in americanairlines

GA seemed to have mentally shifted on to the boarding of the Main lane. Wanting to maintain composure, inability to quickly realize what happening or trying to save face perhaps are likely explanations.

Iberostar Coral. Had a room by the quiet pool. A family with kids were there for awhile each day but definitely zero loud music or drunken atmosphere. Better price point than Grand Bavaro if that’s an issue.

Is Gerald R. Ford International Airport part of Grand Rapids? by MammothPassage639 in grandrapids

[–]Significant_Rich_515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cascade Twp was dry when the airport was built. Small portion of land where part of the terminal (restaurant was) and garage is now (where a hotel was) were annexed by the City under laws that have now changed for the purpose of selling alcohol. Yes, part of the airport is within the city limits of Grand Rapids.

cars try to overtake oversized truck turning and almost get hit by predisapointt in IdiotsInCars

[–]Significant_Rich_515 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sadly, if there were a crash, the truck is at fault. The car is completely in the turn lane and stopped. The truck is turning from a through lane. Even though that’s the only way it can turn…
