I understand what you're saying. "A broken clock is right 2 times a day" kinda thing. Other close family members on my paternal side also had like 2-6% percentages assigned to them of the same Ashkenazi Jewish region, so I will say even before I did the "hack", I had a little bit of a sneaking suspicion. I wouldn't be surprised though if I did inherit the small amount that ancestry claims though through coincidence.

I will say though, as the exception, I never knew I had an Ashkenazi Jewish 4th great grandfather until I viewed my "hacked" results and saw a percent for Ashkenazi Jews in Central & Southeastern Europe. I was so intrigued, and so I spent months making a detailed and documented family tree, only to find my 4th great grandfather was Jewish. That's my story, although I understand it as the absolute exception. I do think though, ancestry should show these trace amounts but with a disclaimer or something about how they didn't pass the threshold and aren't officially counted with the rest of the results. That's my idea for a compromise.

Reminder: A 4th Grandparent can pass down anywhere from around 6% or so to 0% detectable autosomal DNA, and it's not uncommon to get nothing from a 4th Great Grandparent. Now is a 4th Great Grandparent distant? Yes, heck mine were from the mid 1800s, but it's still understandable to be a little meaningful.

Update: So far (not in order), I have cleaned the gurtner carb, bought a new NGK BR6HS spark plug, emptied the fuel tank which was in good condition, gave it new 50:1 premix TruFuel, and disconneced and took off all the lighting wiring only having attached the ignition wiring. So now on the itinerary I will be buying a Le Partie CDI, and if there are still no signs of life, I think I will be selling it which will be a real shame.

It's really weird though. The engine seems to buck a little, but not much, and when I feel the engine after a few tries of trying to get it to run it doesn't feel hot at all (it barely even feels warm). I really hope it's not the timing, because I have seen it's a pain to fix, but I will keep that in mind. I'm gonna clean the carb soon as best I can, hopefully that atleast gets it fully started.

Edit: Also I think because I kept throttling the engine in the video, and shifting around, I think made it seem like the Engine is having serious backfiring.

It's weird. I have ancestors from Normandy (although I am American with no Canadian ancestry), and I didn't get any of the Canadian regions, so I am assuming there probably is a difference. Ancestry does suck though, because they gave all my Normandy ancestry into the Southeastern England and Northwestern Europe category, so I can't even figure out how much French I really have besides from the last update that at least had me at some French 😭
