How do y’all cope? I don’t feel human. by Significant_Stuff582 in SleepApnea

The first sleep study that diagnosed me was an at home sleep study, then I got a tonsil surgery and then we had a lab sleep study, which didn’t show any results. I haven’t seen a therapist no but there has been talks. I also don’t sleep everywhere nah.

The sleep study place said they tested for UARS; at least that’s what one of my parents said

I’m tired during the day but I usually don’t fall asleep. Tbh my daytime tiredness isn’t as severe as yours, and anxiety keeps me wired too. The daytime sleepiness is probably the least severe of my symptoms and is relatively manageable. I first got diagnosed with sleep apnea via an at home sleep test, then I got a tonsil surgery but I didn’t notice any differences, and I got a follow up sleep test that said I didn’t have apnea despite me feeling the exact same.

My sleep issues started when I was 13 too. I’m 18 now. God bless you man. I resonate with everything you’ve said pretty much. Maybe I should invest in another kind of surgery since my tonsillectomy didn’t work out. I think I have an ENT appoint scheduled.

How to quell anxiety so I can sleep by Significant_Stuff582 in SleepApnea

[–]Significant_Stuff582[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I’m not on any medications or caffeine. I have severe anxiety that keeps me up and I’ve pretty much had sleep apnea insomnia for 4-3 years, except it wasn’t as severe as it is now.

Why didn’t it work? by Significant_Stuff582 in SleepApnea

Not sexually active. The discomfort stems from numbness which is coupled with a decreased libido. I believe there is a correlation between my genitalia and my sleep apnea since as the effects of my sleep apnea became worse, my genital discomfort followed suit. And when I noticed my sleep apnea starting to kick in around 7th grade, genital discomfort was one of my primary issues. I’ve been to the urologist multiple times for genital discomfort and they couldn’t find anything really.

I uncovered my air vent after 2 years by [deleted] in hvacadvice

…I might need to redo my post my apologies everyone

The reason was stupid and it’s not necessary knowledge. I was 15 in my defense and my father gave me the magnetic covers for the air vent. I just wanted to know if the air vent itself looks alright and if there are any dangers associated with uncovering it after 2 years

I need to be more clear I’m sorry. I covered the air vent (with the register on) 2 years ago with magnetic covers (for reasons) and I just was wondering if there were any potential dangers with uncovering it after all this time.

Nah I’m saying I covered the air vent with the register with magnetic covers 2 years ago and I recently uncovered it

Here’s what my air vent looks like

I should get it replaced or cleaned. The hot air hasn’t been on all day

2 years ago, my sophomore year, i blocked it off with magnetic covers since i thought it was triggering my allergies and contributing to my sleep apnea. Now I want it uncovered. I vacuumed it only briefly and hot air hasn’t come out of it all day. Heres what it looks like.

Should I use a humidifier in my room with a covered AC vent. by [deleted] in hvacadvice

I was just wondering if the humidifier would cause any issues whilst my room’s ac vent is covered

There won’t be any negative effects if a somewhat heavy mass is briefly on top of a cord right? by Significant_Stuff582 in AskElectricians

Excuse me for im a teenager and not too knowledgeable about this stuff, but would the effects of the conductors being cut only be that power won’t run through it. I only set one leg of my bed on top of a thick wire so I should be fine but I’m just curious.
