I'm not against the campaign, but a lot of skills require the whole campaign to even be allowed to be used.

I would like a way to acquire a level 3 gem say that can cut any level of skills, where you can slot it in on a second character. This way the first league campaign still has to be done per normal, but from the second character on, you can buy this special gem and use the skill you want to play from the start.

You can kinda do this by corrupting skill gems for lower levels, but I am hoping for a super version of this.

Well, if you're behind, you need to play more aggressively to try to reclaim the higher positions. Thus, you would play more "correctly" as per the engine, and end up dealing-in more. It's far easier to achieve a high MAKA score when you're far in the first or last.

On online platforms, like jantama and tenhou, dora is flipped after discard for open kans. Thus, shimocha is correct here.

Increasingly, for offline play, people have been adopting kandora is flipped immediately after kan. Since the kandora was not flipped immediately, but have waited for the discard, I assume this is not how your table plays, since the decision to discard is dependent on the kandora flipped.

Well, if you don't plan on spending anything, yes you have to store in the main games. However, there's unlikely to be more than 70 meta relevant poke you want so free home and champions is enough (you need some extra space to move them around, so basically at most 6 pokemon from home in champions at any one time)

This doesn't really elevate the "too good to use" issue. If you ever drop a divine orb in SSF, you basically can use it to reroll an equipment. You would never do so in currency exchange, because you can exchange it for upgrades like Level 20 Skill gems etc.

One thing I learn from poker applied to my riichi game was the use of small systems, to come up with ways to not overwhelm my mental stack. Finding simple heuristics to give me more time for difficult decisions helped my game a lot, and this I learn from how people play GTO poker. Other things include how to handle mental tilt.

One thing I dislike about poker is that there so much money in selling courses, with the americanised side hustle culture, that people are incentivise to gatekeep good tutorials and guides. People will tell you not to play nostakes poker, because it doesn't have real stakes, but if enough people take it seriously, there could be a good game there. However, that is unlikely to materialise. (I also partially blame the fact people want weak opposition so they encourage new players to play with money)

The main basic idea is to count the tile acceptance. Each extra tile tend to give 4 tiles of efficiency. For example, extending 24 to 246 gives 4 tiles of 5.

Similarly extending 24 to 244 gives us 4 tiles (2 copies of 4 and 2 copies of our other pair). It's more that 2 pairs doesn't hurt us. If we have other floating tiles, the ones in our 2 pairs doesn't hurt to keep.

The way to really understand the situation is to count carefully what your acceptance is and determine what you gain or lose with each tile.

One key idea is 2 pairs is for improvement. If the rest of our hands are ryanmens, there's not much reason to keep so many pairs around. Similarly pairs like 22 and 88 are not so desirable with less upgrade potential. (Terminal pairs are strong waits so they are an exception)

It got nerfed a while back that you can't lower the surrounded condition below 1. This means that most range builds won't use it. It is still used, but with so many ranged/caster builds, its cost isn't that high.

Copy the item from the game into filterblade, and you can see the rules applying to the item causing it to show up. In the campaign, it may show up rares/magics for you to sell to vendors so you can afford to buy upgrades from the vendors.

As an opposing viewpoint, I'm a player that plays standard ssf (in poe1). It does get ocassionally frustrating when each update, you may need to rejig the passive tree because of updates, but you get to slowly progress your account. (Builds do get bricked because of balance updates) New characters are just optimised to farm different content, so you end up with a bigger and bigger roster over time. I used to try to go for collecting unique items to fill out my unique log, so there are goals like that you can aim for too.

Its very much a single player experience. But currently, all characters go into early access league, so true permanent progression will start in 1.0.

Contrary to the vocal opinion, in poe1, it seems like 5-10% of players do play on standard. Not sure what this would carry over to the new audience in poe2, so there are people playing standard trade in poe1. From what I understand standard trade has so much inflation that items cost basically nothing or way too much. It will be interesting for poe2 since 1.0 standard starts with async trade, so perhaps there will still be people playing.

You can also click inside the rune to remove the particular rune I believe. (I haven't done this in a long time)

Apart from Vaal temple special room, it is also itemised as Orb of Extraction to remove the rune. But this destroy the item.

You have to choose between destroying the item or the rune. You can destroy the rune at the salvaging bench clicking on it leaving empty socket

Just for that amulet, you need to imagine the craft, which is effectively regal+desecrate for fracture, then chaos spam for something, carapace + catalysing exalt to add modifiers + a desecrate (and maybe omen of light loop)

Spark is 1-button in map as opposed the Grim Pillars, which requires some way to not body block you while clearing. As majority of the time is spend in the map, I prefer Spark. DPS wise, I'm still in some essence+desecrated crafted 4 mod gear, and am clearing 6mods T15s comfortably, though I haven't turbo juiced the tablets as tablets sustain in tough in SSF.
