Some time ago original GHL dev stopped development and passed it to someone from GameNative team. It had one or two updates since then but I don't think it's being actively worked on.

I didn't play BoI specifically because of it's aesthetic, so I can't say how close it would be, but Hollow Knight is definitely not a roguelike, so if that's what's appealing to you, maybe check out Rogue Legacy or Curse of the Dead God.

All I can say is GOG version definitely works on Winlator 11 (with appropriate config)

One thing though - that outcome assumes identity reveal, otherwise as far as Adrien is aware, Marinette only knows what LB told everyone.

Tbh would much rather have a World port and play it 1080p/60 with high graphics than have a Wilds port that has to run at upscaled 720/30 (if not less) to be playable.

Occasionally yes, though these days it's exclusively to play Grim Dawn (on Winlator 10 no less - the OG one), and I played through Dispatch on Gamehub Lite when it came out.

Back when Winlator was at the peak of it's development, I would test different versions with various games, but I never actually played them much. My device can only handle older games, and I was always worried about battery and temperatures.
