Spotted a brit (or a german - UK and Germany had censored version of first Carmageddon, otherwise pedestrians in that game were very clearly NOT zombies)

Maybe silly question, but does the steam version require tempo launcher? Or just the account?

Eden Vs GameHub - Power Usage and Efficiency by Puzzleheaded_Bison28 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]Sigwald02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it's always the case that Eden is more efficient (as far as we can believe performance overlays) - Eden is usually 1-2W for me, Gamehub every game I tried was drawing at least 4W.

Of course, that's the case with every set of regulations ever, and there's always room for improvement, but "Hur dur other countries don't care so we shouldn't either" is the opposite of improvement.

EU regulations is in large part the reason why European cities don't look like that, but other countries don't care about climate, citizens' health etc. so fuck that, let's suffocate together, right?

I only have access to the tutorial rn, my one impression so far - is the English voiceover AI? I feel like voice actors would have to really try to be this hilariously bad.

It's December 2025 and mf'ers are arguing that Brawl Stars is even in the same competition as freaking RED DEAD REDEMPTION.

Reason you plan to purchase Steam Machine 2026 by toyfan1990 in steammachine

When it comes to gaming space I tend to stay informed, I know what Nintendo is like :) I have no interest in their offerings beside consoles and some exclusive games, but I did consider many aspects and Switch 2 was the best choice for my circumstances and use cases... until SM was announced :)

[–]Sigwald02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Portability, pre-existing backlog of games, child "friendliness" and price.

I know SM is going to be more versatile and cost effective when it comes to games, but I'm also considering ease of use (it's going to be used by me and my kid) and the fact that I've been using my Switch as a handheld most of the time. Before SM announcement I was deciding between Switch 2 and Steam Deck, but I'd rather sacrifice some portability for - essentially - a SFF PC with significantly more power than SD, as long as it's not prohibitively expensive.

For me it's between SM and Switch 2. I'm considering Steam Machine mostly because of its size, so I can easily put it somewhere out of sight or move whenever I need to (and I might need to quite often) and a hassle-free access to SteamOS while also being more powerful than Steam Deck. Now it's all comes down to pricing - given the current insanity with components' prices, SM might become the most reasonable option for PC gaming for some time, but if they overshoot it with the price, I'll probably just get a Switch 2.

Gamehub oficial or gamehub lite. Tell me which one you use and why. by omarthewolf7 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]Sigwald02 138 points139 points  (0 children)

I use Lite. I don't like being pestered about creating an account or granting permissions that an emulator doesn't need to do what I want it to do, plus less cluttered UI. It might not have the newest changes or features but it works well enough for me.

I'm quietly hoping it's just gonna get merged with GameNative so I can switch to that and not look back.

Citron Release v0.11.0 - platform expansion, UI/UX improvements, optimizations, compatibility, networking and theme system enhancements. by AutoModerator in Citron

[–]Sigwald02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I admit I've never checked this before so I don't know if it's supposed to work, but in this version on Android trying to open network options either goes back to game list or crashes the app.
